Driver wont install

I'm trying to install the driver for my webcam and it just will not work. The first day that I kept trying kept telling me that there was a "buffer overrun" but then it took to me to finish the setup as normal. However when I restarted and plugged in my webcam, it said it could not be found. So the second day I installed it from the website, however when i restarted the computer, the part about plugging in your webcam did not appear. I then uninstalled the driver and tried to install from the disk again, but when I selected "install driver only" it said that the driver is still installed. I went through to my installed programs and there was nothing web-cam related installed. I've tried for many days to install this webcam and I'm very frustrated. Can anyone help me with this matter?
