An idea of making a rectangular glass tube with just 1 to 2mm thickness is not...

A weakness that you might experience with your projector is the collapsing of the light or mirror tunnel. Not sure if this is common to DLP projectors only. The symptom is that you see grey bands or shadows on the edge of the TV image - this is caused by a mirror getting in the way of the bulb light. The glue holding the mirrors together seems to weaken over time (3000 lamp hours in my case) and causes one or more of the mirrors to loose its position. For solution, search for "mirror tunnel" or "light tunnel" under all projectors. The problem seems to be quite widespread. I managed to fix my LG's.

I wonder why the manufacturers don't use a rectangular glass tube that is mirror plated on the long sides ?!?! Suppose they want to sell new projectors after lamp or mirror tunnel expiry!

The tub makes loud thumping noises and seems to drop several times during a wash with very loud thumps and moves the machine.

The shaft that holds the drum sounds like its shifted or gotten bent (sometimes due to moving home, or overloading the machine)

One way to fix this is to open the unit and try to bend the shaft back to an equal kilter, but bending it back won't fix the problem forever, as the metal will now be weakened an d washing machines have fantastic G-force when spinning so weak metal won't keep forever,

but if you have your model number you can always get a replacement shaft and fit it yourself so its like new.

Hope this helps you.

Unable to get air vent hose over collar for fitting to machine.

the size here in USA is 4". If your talking about the place on the wall not fitting the hose and its metal a tool called a sheet metal crimper (probably an English invented tool) makes crimps on metal pipe and here most sheet metal shops have 1 or more of them you might borrow. I would not know where In UK to suggest. Perhaps an industrial tool supplier. Or if you have a hardware store ask there what to do for your problem as the size should be standard. At least it ius here.

If this helped you please rate me accordingly and good luck.

make sure the lid is making contact with the switch when the lid is closed, listen closly for a "click" noise upon closing the lid, if you dont hear anythig the lid is no tbeing recognized as closed therefore will not enter a spin mode for safety reasons.somtetimes by pressing down harder on left side of the lid you can get it to startup. if this is the case a simple solution may be in order, after lifting the lid make sure the scrrws attaching the lid to the hinges are tight, then if you place your hand under the left rear side of the lid you feel the lid actuator( its the opposing side to the door hinge) with a nutdiver( or similliar hollow pointed metal object) slide it over the metal hinge and apply force to slighty bend to toward the reare of the machine( as you apply pressure the lid will want to push against you , thast s normal its the hinge your bending) after slighty bending now see if tyou can here the click?

I have the same model too. Unscrew the bottom metal base at the bottom of the machine. You will see a black rubber belt connecting 2 "wheels". If the belt is broken you can order a new one. If that's not the problem, it's not worth fixing. Go buy a new one for $50.00 Good luck!!
