Check to make sure you're not in external monitor mode. I THINK it's the F12 key. The one that looks like a TV.

Toshiba satellite L300 no display

Could be either display, motherboard or memory problem. To fix try these procedures:
unplug the charger
remove the battery,
press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
release the power button
plug charger and battery and start it
If problem persists, open the memory cover on the back and swap the SODIMM memory sticks, and try. If the same, leave just one memory stick and try again. If not, try the second stick only.

Standard vga adapter

You can get the drivers at Toshiba. I found the drivers for Vista if that is what OS you are using. There are 2 models the L300-ST2501 and L300-ST3502. Toshiba satellite L300 has lines on the screen int hat can see desktop icons properly. What could be the solution?

FIrst thing to try.

Try to display laptop on external monitor.

See if problem is replicated. If it is then it is your video card and most likely board. If it is not then you may have to replace your Lcd.

Start there and share results on thread.

Toshiba Satellite L310 problem , display cannot appears

If the screen went blank after the driver install, sometimes clicking the mouse on the screen will bring the picture back. It sounds like the monitor is having a conflict with the resolution the driver is throwing out. Reboot the laptop and when you see the Toshiba splash screen, tap F8 until you see the multiple boot menu. Scroll to Safe Mode with networking and reboot. If the screen comes up, go to the control panel > System > hardware > display adapter > click on the plus sign and double click the reported adapter.click on driver tab and select roll back driver > click yes to any prompts and click ok. Reboot normally and see if that clears the problem.

I can load vga after formatting

Try Using Downloading and using the driver from this site :
http://www.laptopdrivers.net/toshiba-equium-l300-laptop-download-windows-vista-to-xp-drivers/

Or Directlink to the VGA Driver for it.
http://uploading.com/files/WS9G50H6/Toshiba-Equium-L300-Intel-Graphics-VGA-display-20080519181914-Driver-For-XP_-_ww...zip.html

But before using this one, just make sure you remove ..or rollback the previous one.
Goodluck!

Screen stays black on startup of toshiba satellite L300

have you tried either switching between external and internal monitor usally Fn + F5 on toshiba or try plugging a monitor into the back and see if it displays.
if you get a display on the external monitor then its probably a screen or inverter fault if you donot get a display to an external screen then it is likley t be the graphics on the board itself.
hope this helps
