Headliner for 1999 Buick LeSabre does not have a cardboard backing. What do I need to do to replace this headliner myself?

What kind of backing DOES it have. The fabric of the headliner cannot simply be glued to the roof frame. GM used a foam shell on many of its vehicles. Removal of the headliner must be done carefully to avoid breakage of the shell, although a small crack or two often is of no significance. Remove the old fabric by peeling it off the shell. This will usually leave a lot of the foam padding still clinging to the hard foam shell. This can be removed fairly easy with a vegetable brush, being careful not to gouge into the hard foam shell. There will still be a slight residue of the padding on the shell, but this is not a problem. At a fabric center, purchase a sufficient size piece of headliner fabric in a color that complements your interior. Ask the salesperson there to assist you in selecting the correct spray adhesive for the job. Dry fit the new headliner to the shell, leaving some extra on all sides that will be trimmed later. Fold back one half of the headliner fabric and apply the adhesive to both the shell and the back of the headliner fabric. Wait the specified time for the adhesive to prep, then, with assistance (its easier), roll the headliner back to the shell, ensuring no gaps or bubbles. Once you complete one half, fold back the other half and repeat. Cut any access holes needed (dome light, sun visor). Trim excess to edge of shell. Do not wrap the headliner around the side edges or it will not reinstall correctly. You may need to wrap the front and rear edges depending upon the trim on your interior. The edges will be hidden by the door and window trim. Reinstall shell.

Lobster: Cook it, Clean it, Eat it

Lobsters can be scary. They look tough and dangerous, their claws are all but friendly and the fact that they need to be boiled alive makes the whole process of cooking them even less appealing.

Well, here are a few steps to help you enjoy the lobster\'s tender and tasty meat without too much fuss.

First of all fill a large pot with water up to 3/4 and bring the water to boiling, then add some sea salt.
In the meantime the lobsters should be kept on ice. The ice helps calming them down and relaxes them, and also helps keeping the lobster fresh longer.
It is better to cut the rubber bands on their claws before cooking them.
If you rub the lower part of the lobster\'s back for about a minute the lobster will fall asleep.
You then pick up the lobster and set it in the boiling water, head first.
Let it cook for about 9-10 minutes per pound, until it turns bright red and the meat looks white rather than translucent. You can now pull it out with tongs and set it on the table or on a cutting board or big plate.

A way to know if the cooked lobster has expired is by checking the tail. An expired lobster\'s tail will not fold back on its bottom when pulled up.
If the tail of a cooked lobster is limp and has an ammonia odor, the lobster was dead for too long prior to cooking and the quality of the meat has deteriorated.

And now you can get ready to crack, clean and enjoy your lobster.
For these steps you need:
A nutcracker
Butter
Lemon (optional)

Legs:
Legs are small and hold tender and sweet meat. You can just rip them from the body, get rid of the first piece and then put them in your mouth and enjoy the meat.
Another option is setting the leg on the table and rolling a bottle, or anyting that rolls, on the leg towards the opening, so that the meat comes out.

Claws:
Claws are also ripped from the body together with the whole arm (or knuckle). You then separate the knuckle from the claw by pulling them apart and cracking them. You remove the knucke and you crack the claw with the nutcracker. When you open the claw you will see the meat. You can pick it up and dip it in the butter before eating it.

Tail:
The tail has to be snapped from the rest of the body. Then the little hard ends of the tail are ripped out one by one and then you can push the meat out from one side of the tail to the other, with your finger.
Clean it of the sorrounding skin-like layer, by pulling it back, and then either eat it like that or split it in half along the crack and dip it in the butter.
The tail is a taugher meat than the other parts, but it\'s the most celebrated.
Another way to eat the tail is by cutting the top part of the shell with resistant shears so to remove the meat from the top instead of pulling it out with the finger.

Cavity:
Grab the cavity from the hole created by the removal of the tail, and pull the upper and the lower side of the cavity apart, as to open it.
The meat is well hidden in the lower part, near the legs.

You can either eat piece by piece what you pick out of the shell, or gather it all in a plate and enjoy it all together when you are done.
Bon Apetit!

What is a crab or lobster cracker?

"A crab cracker (also known as a lobster cracker or crab claw cracker) is a specialized food utensil, similar in construction (and sometimes appearance) to certain types of nutcrackers, used to crack the hard shells of crabs and lobsters by pulling the two handles together to access the flesh inside, while preparing or eating them." If the hinge has a crack will that cause a problem, and if so where can you buy just the shell?

If there is a slight crack this will not cause a problem as long as the hinge isn't loose and the screen isn't moving.

The cheapest place to buy a replacement shell is on ebay. However this would void any warrenty you have.

Dream Maker x-500 5 person developed cracks in the shell of the 2 corner seats, nearest the access panel. It appears the seat supports molded to the base of the spa are pushing the seat bottoms upwards,...

If it's loosing water this should be a structure warranty. I have two of these and had to drain the spa and shine a light in the spa and take pictures from underneath. Then the light will show off the cracks well. If your the original owner just keep at Dream maker, they should give you a new one.

Will a crack in the shell make the heater leak??

If the metal has cracked, it is only a matter of thime before it starts to leak. I wouldn't use it unless you are home. If it does leak, it can cause the heater to overheat and be a potential fire hazard

Crack in DS

I have tried plenty of ways but this plastic cant be pasted easily and the hinge crack the junction again so basically you need a new hinge piece, something saddly cant be bought alone, you need to buy a whole shell.

If not under nintendo 1year warranty, the best thing you can do to kill this problem is take the DS to a videogame repair service to replace the shell before the top screen or the whole DS suffer more damage. You can also consider to buy and change the shell by yourself. The bad new is anyway you need some money to repair it.

You can use the DS carefully meanwhile the top part dont get completelly out of place.
