About a few hours ago a friend sent me a "facebook birthday calander" app request, i accepted this. now every time i try and go to www.facebook.com it says server not found, yet if i use a proxy i can get the page to load, but not login. i think i might have had my page hijacked by that app and its blocking my complete access to facebook

Facebook has a lot of viruses and things that mess up your account. try using a different computer or device. if you can do that I would just delete the facebook account and make a new one that hasn't been hacked.

My profile has been hacked, and sends ugly videos to my friends. How do I report or fix this ?

If You Believe Your Facebook Account Has Been Hacked:

1. Go to the Facebook Account Compromise Reporting Page
2. Click the "My Account Is Compromised" button
3. On the "Identify Your Account" page, enter either your e-mail address, phone number, Facebook username, or your name and the name of one of your friends.
4. Follow the instructions provided to report your account as compromised.
5. Once your account has been reinstated and is back under your control, reset your Facebook password from the "Account Settings" page by clicking the "Change" link under the "My Account" Password section.
6. From the Facebook Privacy Settings page, click on "Apps and Websites". Under the "Apps, You Use" section, click "Edit Settings" and then click on the "X" to delete any suspicious/malicious apps that may have been used to compromise your account.
7. Alert your friends that your account was hacked and warn them not to click on any links that the hackers who compromised your account may have posted on their walls, in chat sessions, or in Facebook e-mails that the hackers sent to them.
Again, to help prevent this from happening in the future, consider enabling features such as Facebook Login Approvals and any other Facebook authentication approval process that relies on multiple authentication factors.
A few simple steps can greatly improve your Facebook security and privacy.

Myself also have d same problem hello friends !! i m facing an irritating problem . let me give u detail about that. one day i was online in facebook and a person in my friend list started chat with me...

There was a virused email going around a while ago that said friends had sent you an email saying you were in it. But the email wasnt from a friend, but it spread into peoples contact lists and sent itself out! It is possible that this happened to you even on chat? Its possible this got into your FB contact list somehow and it wasnt your friend who sent that link?
Make sure you have a good anti virus programme and UPDATE IT REGULARLY! is the first thing I need to suggest to you.
If a good a/v programme cant pick it up Im afraid you will have to get someone experienced to look into this one, IF what I said did cause the problem, because if it is a virus, the ones that morph themselves and spread that way are the hardest to get rid of,
Good luck!

Hello,

It sounds like your account was hacked or an app you were using was sending spam. This is becoming more common on facebook. Your account most likely was suspended by the facebook support staff. You will need to contact them through the help page on facebook.com to see if you can regain account access.

What does it mean when it stated "Connection lost Reconneting " does it mean someone hack into my account when i am using it in iphone or is the server under maintenance

"Connection lost Reconnecting" means that your iPhone's connection is weak, and that it had gotten disconnected from the server and is trying to reconnect with it. Don't worry, your account has not been hacked.

Hi Kathryn, it may just be that facebook's servers are overloaded or some wider-network issue so your PC cant establish a connection with facebooks servers. Perhaps you can just wait for a few hours or try again tomorrow to see if there are any changes.
In the meantime, try downloading any updates for your browser (I suggest using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome over Internet Explorer) and then try again. It may just be a browser issue that gets in an endless loop trying to load some parts of Facebook's page, and an update of the browser should fix the problem.

How do i get started on facebook

Step 1: First, go to the Facebook welcome page at, www.facebook.com. You will see their banner which says, "Facebook helps you connect and share with people in your life". So true -- I keep up with my kids, friends, co-workers and online buddies with my Facebook account.

On this welcome page you will see the "Sign Up" section. Just fill in your name, email, birthday and gender. Click the "Sign Up" button, and then enter the code you see on their security page. You will be sent a confirmation e-mail.

Step 2: Access your email account, click on the link in the email from Facebook and you will be taken to the "Getting Started" page. If any of your friends have been looking for you on Facebook already, you will see an option to accept/confirm this friend. Click confirm and go to next step.
Step 3: Facebook will now ask if you want your email account or instant message friend list scanned for already registered friends. You can skip this step or allow, it is your preference. (Not all email servers are supported.)
Step 4: In the next step you can enter your High School, College or other Learning Institutions, as well as your place of employment. Once you enter this information, Facebook will take you to a page displaying Facebook peeps that have similar information. You are given the option of selecting them as "friend".
Step 5: Once you select your friends from the people shown, you will be taken to a page where you are asked to enter where you live so that Facebook can place you in a Network. The city you enter may not be listed, but you will be given options of cities that they determine my be geographically close to you. Select one and your sign up process is complete. You will be immediately taken to the YOUR Facebook "home" page.
Step 6: Congratulations, you have successfully gotten started on Facebook. Now it is up to you to set up and edit your profile, continue adding friends and posting your activities. See my other articles on these next steps!

Your friend has to have their birthday listed with Facebook for it to both show up on the same day. One of your friends has not input his/her birthday yet.

Can't log into face book

You can try a number of different solutions which have worked for some people:

Solution 1...
Clear your cache and delete all of your cookies in your browser.

Solution 2...
In your browser, type in the address bar http://www.facebook.com/login (which doesnt exist)
This will take you to a different login page which reads: "The page you requested was not found."
At the top of this page is a login box. Try using this login box to login to facebook.
.
Solution 3...
Download Firefox 3.5 and used that instead of Internet Explorer.
here is the link for downloading it
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html
.
Tip: If you are using the Adblock extension with Firefox, and subscribe to an ad list (basically a list of known ads online), it blocks a special site (fbcdn.net)
that Facebook uses to login.
.
Tip: Go to: http://www.facebook.com/login.php (the page you are having trouble logging in) and click on the
Adblock Stop Sign on top of Firefox, and you will see in red a url that includes
fbcdn.net. Right click on that, and add an exception for the entire fbcdn.net domain.
Reload the page. This should fix the problem.
.
Solution 4...
Use a Proxy Server to connect to Facebook.com
1. Search Proxy in GOOGLE
2. Select Proxy Server
3. Type in facebook.com (in the proxy server webpage)
4. login into facebook account
5. (although all games will work but Farmville may have problems loading)
.
recommended Proxy Server >> http://www.youtubeproxy.ws/
.
If you found this information helpful, please give me a big thumbs up when you rate my answer. Thanks.

I am having trouble with the add you as a friend list. The Facebook website refuses to accept my password and resetting it is becoming a pain.

The Facebook page can't be access if you have done the 'add friend' thing a lot of time. If you have tried to do it several times, it will says error. So, it's better to wait for a few hours till you try again. And for the password, are you sure you type in correctly? Make sure the caps lock is off and try to connect to another server to see if it works.
