Unless someone has worked on the machine it is rare for the timing to be off. What symptoms are you seeing that makes the timing appear off? Other, more common, things that can appear to be timing related include: 1) incorrect needle or needle is set wrong 2) wrong bobbin or bobbin isn't seated correctly 3) upper thread is through the needle incorrectly (left to right, right to left, or front to back) only one is correct

Install a different brand new needle.

If that doesn't work, the timing is probably off. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.

Replacing timing belt

Replacing timing belt. If the feed dogs still move up and down and back and forth then you just need a timing adjustment . If the feed dogs do not move at all then you need a new timing belt Hope.

Will not stay in time

Are you sure it is coming out of time? What are the machine simptoms?
There are many spots that a machine can come out if time, there are also more that one timing aspects of a sewing machine.
It is important to find out where it came out of time (what joint came out if time) and reset it there.
Usaly if it comes out of time again and again it is a loose timing belt(not sure if it is that because some brothers have timinig belts and some dont).
If you get anymore info post it and ill try and help more.

Our Singer sewing machine model 7430 will not stay in time. How do you time it and have it stay in time? It doesn't appear to be a timing belt problem. The machine is new, only a year old with limited...

No timing belt on machine ok, If machine keeps throwing time, the use of the machine is something I would question first or whoever done timing from the start. Finding where the machine is out of time could be the needle bar or hook shaft under unit...when you needle is going up where does the needle pass the cusp of the needle,,, The cusp is the part of the needle that swurves in

Needle timing.

Timing of a sewing machine, which timing? Needle to hook timing is fairly simple, turn the hand wheel in the direction the machine sews until it is at bottom of the stroke. Continue turning it until it moves up 2.54 mm if it is timed correctly the point of the hook should be right behind the needle and passing above the eye in the middle of the scarf of the needle. There are several timing of a sewing machine, needle to hook, feed and swing timing.
