My Canon IXUS 860 IS went inside water when it was switched ON mode. Then after 5-10 minutes, I get the camera out of the water. I tried drying it through a hair dryer. Then now its not switching ON.I can...

A hair dryer will only get to the external places. Water got into the camera and when you tried to turn it on, you probably fried the circuits. The correct procedure for drying a camera is to remove the battery and card, dry everything you can get to and then bury the camera in a bowl of dry rice for one week. Even after that, you may have water spots on the inside lens elements and the camera may still not start. Also, if the water was salt water, you might as well give up....it's very corrosive and damaging.

Dropped elph camera in ocean while kayaking In and out fast. Ca photos be saved. The battery was NOT inside.

The salt water is the big worry, if the photo's were on the removable memory card you might have a chance, if the photo's were on the internal memory "game over" I will assume the pictures are on the removable card, gets some rubbing alcohol and Q-Tips now carefully clean the contacts and the switch on the card. Salt is extremely corrosive when combined with water so keep in mind that this will be a long shot and time is a factor, "good luck"

Water damage

Glad to see I'm not the only person to drop a digital camera in the water. LOL. Here is what I did to save my camera.
First remove it from the water. Take the batteries and SD Memory card out. Toss the batteries out. Dry the memory card with a soft terry cloth hand towel and set aside. Do your best to drain the water from the camera. There is still water in the camera. Give it about 3 or 4 days to let it dry out. Leave the battery lids off and prop the camera up onto it's side so any excess water can drain or evaporate freely.
Once the camera is dry, put a set of fresh batteries in (not rechargeables) but not the memory card. Power the camera on and see if LCD comes to life.

Sony t90 got wet with a water splash during swimming now i cant take pics and there's "E:62:02" Constantly flashing.can u pls help me?

Open the battery compartment and remove the batterys and the memory card. Completly dry the camera as best you can without further damaging it. Let it set open up like this for about 5 to 7 days. Recharge the battery and reinsert the battery and memory card. If you have to reinsert the battery to recharge the battery, do so. If it still doesn't work, contact the factory for a repair estimate.

Let me suggest you don't leave a high tech piece of equipment in a bag with a water bottle (even if it isn't open).
