SOURCE: Blu-Ray player not reading Blu-Ray movie

I had the same problem - Fix - Go to the sharp web site and download the file HP21U_HP50U_PN902270. You will need to make sure your thumb drive is no bigger than 4gb and you do not have any other files on it. Once you download the file on the thumb drive, you will need to unzip the file on the same thumb drive. The zip file is one of the new ones, so you might need to go to the web and get a shareware program that will open it. After this - turn your player on and go to setting, next scroll down to update firmware, insert the drive and tell it OK, it will ask you if this is OK, tell it OK and it will upgrade the firmware in about 2 min. I have already done this with 3 other players with no problem. Good luck. The sharp web site is sometimes a little hard to find and to me was not the most user friendly. good luck Pruitt43@yahoo.com

When we try and use USB device to record on our Rank Arena SV=2101SDVD it shows message "USB device too slow" Have asked at a few retailers for advice but no one seems to know???

The SV-AV100 and the SV-AV50 come with an A/V cradle that allows you to connect to external devices for recording and playback. The SV-AS10 and SV-AV25 are not equipped for this operation.

My blu-ray dvd player keeps flashing the word "waiting" on the front screen, whenever I try to turn it off. And then the player doesn't respond to any commands. I can't turn it off, eject the...

If you player is connected to the internet in any way, it's probably trying to download a firmware update. Manufacturers send out updates that add or correct features in hardware. I would let the player sit at "Waiting" over night jus to see if the download is taking a while. If this does not correct the issue, I would "Initialize" the settings (factory default) by looking for either of those words in the advanced settings of the player.
If this was helpful, please rank me a 4.
