Question about D-Link DIR-625 (790069292637) Wireless Router
I have an iMac and my roommate has a laptop pc [Vista]...when we are both using the Dlink DR-615 router he could not access certain live feed news network websites he was used to accessing when he had a direct connection through the modem [not the router] to his computer...after a few tries I fixed some of the issues by unchecking the "Enable Quos Engine" option in the advanced option. That fixed the problem for him to access live news feed on one website, but the problem still persists on two other websites [every other website works like cnn live news works]....Has anyone else had a similar problem and been able to fix it cause as of now the only option for him to access these two other websites live feed is to disconnect the router and plug directly from his modem to his laptop which is a pain cause I don't have access to the internet until he is done...
You need to update the router's firmware and hard reset it by pressing the reset button for 20 seconds, unplug power for 10 sec then plug it back in.

It is usually easiest to run the install wizard, which you
can get from the manufacturers' website, usually for free, but be sure to be

passwords, some are admin with no password, some are admin and admin...seek
access information from the website of the manufacturer of your unit. Look
under support, downloads, drivers or similar sounding areas.
Things to set:

SAVE EVERY page before you leave it, or the changes will be lost. A geek knows
this (apparently). The router gives no protest...just dumps your changes. SAVE

Invoke wireless security of at least WEP.
Assign your own access code, 10 digit home or

access is usually not the security issue.)

Change the channel of the wireless to 11, and
avoid conflict with landline cordless phones. (Big issue, even the neighbors
There are more secure settings available, all the way down
to only allowing certain MAC addresses to have access. A MAC address is a digit
unique to each and every network card. Like a fingerprint. Most users do not
set mac address limits.
