Question about DCS Island Hood
I had cooked in the microwave for 30 minutes and then the fan came on all by it self. I could not turn it off. After an hour or so we tried to unplug it to maybe reset it but it still did not turn off. I have cooked for 30 min or longer before and not had this issue. Is the microwave safe to use? Can it be fixed or do I need to get a new one?
The keys on my key pad llocked somehow does anyone know how to unlock them

Microwave turns itself off and reset after a few minutes. Is ther a sensor causing this. It only happens every once in awhile. The first time this happened my wife started it without anything in it.

Some microwaves have a sensor built in so if the oven gets to hot the fan will come on to help cool it down. It should shut off when it senses it is cooled down to the proper temp. If it will not shut off the sensor may be defective. Its your choice to either call a service tech to repair it or just replace it. I would weigh the cost of the repair to a new unit.
