SOURCE: Washing machine won't stop filling the tub when I

The problem is the pressure switch has failed or the hose is plugged up, has a hole in it. These are usually inexpensive and are very easy to replace. Here is a video this will walk you thru testing and replacing a pressure switch. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet Sport Model WFW8300SW0 basket won't

The following list of codes indicates an electronics communication problem with the washer: - Duet HT washer - F01, F03, F06, F11, F23, F24, F27, F28, F29, F30, F31, F32, F35, F42, F61, F62, F63, F64, F65, F70, F71, and F99

If Pause/Cancel does not work:

  1. Unplug washer or disconnect power for one minute.
  2. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
  3. Re-select the cycle and press Start.
NOTE: If the error remains on the display, call for service.

I would first replace the door latch/lock assembly, a number of users have and it fixed the F-11 error code completely. Its the cheapest part for this problem.

Hope helps.

SOURCE: Water fill level switch stops
hello chris, my name is Mike. You're in luck because this should be a fairly easy fix. Above is a link from the whirlpool website that shows the parts for your washer. If you scroll down to about page 3, you'll see a horizontal rectangular piece that is part of the console. Part number 12 is your water level switch.
This switch is easy to see if you remove the console of your washer, it has a clear plastic tube connected to it. This tube has air in it, and is connected to the lower portion of your outer tube. As the water fills, more air enters the tube (increasing pressure), and tells the washer when to quit filling per say.
You need to inspect the tubing from top to bottom to make sure there are no kinks, or a lot of the times it has just come loose from the switch, or tub. If it has you can reconnect it and retest the washer.
A defective pressure switch can interfere with the cycles that depend upon the switch to indicate when water has filled or emptied from the tub. Can also cause overfilling.
If everything is connected, there's no water in the tube, then the switch is more than likely just bad and needs to be replaced.
Chris, if you are unsure and you want to test it to be sure, just contact me anytime. My email is
You will need a Volt ohm meter or a continuity tester to actually test the switch to MAKE SURE that it's bad. I can almost tell you with certainty that it is though.
Feel free to contact me anytime, and I'll be more than happy to help you out.

Washing machine won't fill. i filled it by hand with water, it won't agitate either, only spins.

The inlet solenoid is probably bad. And it won't agitate unless it fills and stops filling automatically.

Water won't stop filling

If the water still flows in when the machine is off the inlet solenoid is faulty, if when you push start it fills and keeps filling then the problem will be with either the electronics or the pressure switch.
You really need to get someone who has experience with whirlpool machines to look at it for you.

You are correct in assuming that the timer is going out. It is fairly easy to replace, you simply take the upper back part off of the washer and remove the screws that hold the timer in place and reinstall the new one.

I have a Whirlpool Washer Model LXR6232EQ0. Yesterday something happened after it drained during the rinse cycle. It wouldn't spin. It makes a noise like the moter is trying to spin but there is a slight tinkle once in a while. Could it be the motor coupling or do you think it is the clutch. The agitator doesn't spin at all. does it have a belt?
