The razr is not meant to be used for drag and drop in windows, there are ways to put files on the card without plugging the phone in, like using the adapter that came with the card in a card reader and going to my computer and doing it that way. or using motorola phone tools as long as you aren't a vzw customer.

Well, when you connect as mass storage, there is an usb icon on status bar on your phone. Select it and there will be written something like Select to turn on/off usb connection. Once you turn it on, you will get a prompt on your computer as it will see your phone storage card as mass storage.
Be sure the problem is not from the cable, by confirming that the cable works well with another phone. If it works well on another phone, try another USB cable. If it shows the same message, then connect the cable to a different port on the PC. If the message still shows plug it into another system. If it works on the other system, then the device was not recognised on the initial system because USB ports must have been faulty. You would have to un - install, then re - install the USB drivers. Do this by clicking 'My Computer', then 'Device Manager'. Select 'USB Ports'. Right click it and select Re - install. But if it still does not work on another system, and then your phone's USB port might need to be changed. Hope that helped? Success.
first of all plug in the cable that comes with the X10. (It is the same one that plugs into the top of the charger)
into a USB port on your PC/Laptop.
Then Open the cover on the top of the X10 handset. (The one that hides the charger port)
Now plug the cable into the charger port.
Your handset should be switched on.
In the top left hand corner of the X10 display should now have a little USB symbol on it??.
If it does just ttp the symbol and drag your finger downwards.
This now shows what you would like to do with the USB.
It says something like. "Select to copy files to/from your computer" Just tap this prompt then a pop-up appears asking to "Mount" or "Don't Mount"
This will now prompt your PC/Laptop to load the correct drivers.
If you are using a Windows PC/Laptop it should find drivers fairly easily as it is just a "Mass Storage" device.
When/If it has done this it will say "Device Connected" or similar.
You can now go into "Start"
And in there you should find a new drive.
This will be your phones memory
DCIM is the folder with your photos in it.
Hi, When the BlackBerry device is connected by Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable to the computer, it is not detected as a BlackBerry Device on the Windows Device Manager. Universal Serial Bus controllers does not show any BlackBerry device, even though it has already been connected to the computer. It is because Blackberry Desktop Manager drivers are not registering with the Windows operating system. To resolve this issue, 1) Uninstall and reinstall the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. 2) Connect the BlackBerry device to another desktop computer to determine if the issue could be related to USB port hardware. 3) Update the BlackBerry device drivers manually. I hope this information will help you.
FIRST OF ALL, NEVER EVER PLUG IT INTO THE COMPUTER WHILE ITS ON. ALWAYS TURN THE PHONE OFF BEFORE HAND. AS FAR AS YOUR COMPUTER NOT RECOGNIZING THE USB CABLE, IT MAY ACTUALLY BE YOUR COMPUTER. AFTER ALL IF IT WAS THE CABLE, YOUR PHONE WOULDN'T CHARGE SINCE IT IS THE SAME CABLE FOR CHARGING AND USB CONNECTIONS. MY COMPUTER HAS HAD TROUBLE SEVERAL TIMES WHEN PLUGGING IN NEW OR DIFFERENT DEVICES INTO THE PORT. TO CHECK THE USB PORT ON YOUR COMPUTER.... GO TO CONTROL PANEL, THEN DEVICE MANAGER. DOUBLE CLICK UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLERS. IF ANY OF THEM ARENT WORKING PROPERLY THERE WILL BE A YELLOW TRIANGLE WITH AN EXCLAMTION POINT BESIDE THE UNFUNCTIONING USB. IF IT IS NOT FUNCTIONING YOU WILL HAVE TO UPDATE THE DRIVER. IF YOUR PORTS, DRIVERS ETC DONT SHOW THE YELLOW TRIANGLE, THEY ARE WORKING. TRY PLUGGING THE PHONE INTO A DIFFERENT PORT UNTIL YOU FIND ONE THAT WILL ACCEPT IT. I HAVE A LAPTOP AND MY PHONE ISNT RECOGNIZED IN THE SAME USB PORT (ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE COMPUTER) THAT I USE FOR MY PRINTER. I USE A DIFFERENT PORT FOR MY CELL PHONE. IF YOUR COMPUTER IS OLDER , THE USB PORT MAY NOT BE HIGH SPEED. OLDER COMPUTERS HAVE USB PORTS WITH A SPEED OF 1x OR A MIX OF PORTS WITH 1x AND 2.O (2.0 IS HIGHSPEED 1x IS NOT). I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!
