I think (depending on your carrier SW) if you goto the SETTINGS / CONNECTIONS window, you can select USB Settings and choose between Memory Device & Modem Device...

The razr is not meant to be used for drag and drop in windows, there are ways to put files on the card without plugging the phone in, like using the adapter that came with the card in a card reader and going to my computer and doing it that way. or using motorola phone tools as long as you aren't a vzw customer.

I think the reason they used usb on the phone was because it was an improvement on the old charger style (anyone remember :P) also with the windows driver you can changer you phone from your laptop/desktop and use it to dial in to the internet with your computer with the correct setting (contact you network provider if questioning how)

I have an HP TouchSmart 600. When it was updated to Windows 10, it no longer recognizes the Mad Dog external hard drive (model: MD-AEN350COM), and does not show it in file explorer.

I'm a bit of an expert on storage systems. (for sure externals)
it's a SATA HDD in a box with USB cable right?
mad dog,
did you :
1: use the power pack for it> (it came with it) use that !!!
do not tell me it works on other PC lacking that pack
we KNOW THAT aND WAY, (POWER ISSUES)

The usb ports can not run that hdd startup currents on vast numbers of Laptops with gutless 100ma usb ports. a fact.
2: next try all USB ports, test the ports with mouse to see that The USB port is even good, at all? next.

it must show up in disk manager first not explorer, its windows and that is a fact. (SEEN IN COMPUTER MANAGEMENT OF CP)
3: are you web connected?, when plugging in the USB cable.
if not , do not expect drivers of any kind to work .
steps:
a: PC on.
b: power pack connected to mad dog, put ear to MD case hear the drive spin, if not the power pack is bad, or the drive is dead.
c: plug on the USB cable last, hear windows(be web connected) go
DINGGONGSOUOND? it not the port is dead, try all USB ports
try looking in DM to see if USB ports are dead, some older laptops have USB3 ports that windows has missing drivers, and must be hand loaded by you to make uSB3 work(ask me how)
so try all USB ports. try a mouse on them all , all USB ports must work with a simple mouse. if not use only those ports that work with the mad dog.

http://www.pcdied.com/external-hdd.html

dingdongsound = ms windows-system-sounds, called DEVICE connect, have volume up, and that enabled and you will get that sound for any USB connects.
try a mouse or usb stick on all USB ports to prove the all work. first.
then play with HDD. external.

DO the Garmin receivers work with Windows ?

Yes the Garmin DPS units do work with Windows. There should be a USB cable in the box the GPS came in. The smaller end plugs into the GPS and the larger end into one of your computer's USB ports. The GPS screen should come on and show the Garmin name. Then the Loading Maps title should show briefly. A graphic should show up on the bottom part of the screen that looks like a desktop computer connected to a GPS. A horizontal white line should then appear about half way up the GPS screen which should turn to green. You should then be able to see your GPS listed as a removable drive in Windows Explorer, or whatever file management program you use.

If you are unable to see the GPS unit there is a plug in available on their website called the Garmin Communicator Plug-in which should help you see the GPS unit in Windows or your internet browser. IF you still cannot see it then try and switch to another USB port on your computer. If you have anything already plugged into a USB port and your computer can see the item, then try and plug your Garmin into that port. If you still cannot see the unit then there may be something wrong with the unit or your cable. If you still have a warranty you may want to take your unit back to the store you purchased it from. Windows should definitely see the unit without having to load any special driver.

8330 show no driver on desktop

Hi, When the BlackBerry device is connected by Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable to the computer, it is not detected as a BlackBerry Device on the Windows Device Manager. Universal Serial Bus controllers does not show any BlackBerry device, even though it has already been connected to the computer.
It is because Blackberry Desktop Manager drivers are not registering with the Windows operating system.
To resolve this issue,
1) Uninstall and reinstall the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
2) Connect the BlackBerry device to another desktop computer to determine if the issue could be related to USB port hardware.
3) Update the BlackBerry device drivers manually.
I hope this information will help you.
