Question about Philips GoGear HDD6330 MP3 Player

What's happened? all of a sudden my computer will not recognise my gogear, I have tried reloading the software but this does not seem to help. Help!!! the gogear needs the repair programme, but will not recognise it is connected

Seems to me after having the same problem and getting no satisfaction out of philips that this thing is a piece of crap! After searching there is a TON of people that are having the same problem. Philips is no help at all! Anyone out there that has solved this problem please email me! twatk102060@aol.com

The HDD1830 is not Mac compatible. The database file has probably been deleted or corrupted. The player doesn't scan the hard disk on start-up, it only read the database file. Anything it doesn't read from the database file is ignored.

You will need to restore the player with the Philips Device Manager, and re-load your tracks.

My philips gogear wont turn on


Disconnect the GoGear from the computer
Reset it first (pinhole in back - safety pins work best), even if nothing happens - just to be on the safe side
Nothing will happen still, but we are OK
Make sure the power is off, and hold in the volume + button, reconnect the GoGear to the computer while holding in the volume + button, and continue holding volume + until a window pops us saying Found New Hardware Wizard
Go through the Found New Hardware Wizard, and the GoGear should be working again - the player will be revived

Write me back if this fails to resolve the problem.

Have a Blaupunkt AM FM Radio/In-Dash Ch Cgnager (6 stacker) in a 2003 Holden Commodore. After ejecting the 6th one of the CD's succesfully, get "CD Error mech" message and it will not eject the...


We eventually tried loading another CD to fill the one vacant spot we knew was in the changer even though we'd tried that before without success. This time it seems that we fluked it just as it was trying to eject CD 1 again and - somehow - the CD we were tryng to insert must have lifted the rim of the one that was stuck and it suddenly ejected. The remaining 4 CD's that were inside the changer but not even recognised, then started re-loading so it appears that they were all jammed up together. Once they'd reloaded we were able to eject them all successfully then reload.
We're not sure but think that it may have happened when the eject button was originally pressed once to eject CD 6 then, in error, held down for a 'eject all' procedure and the changer has become confused with both instructions.

Phillips gogear need driver need driver for the mp3 player, it completely stopped working and the philips device manager tries to repair it, but is un successful


To reload drivers:
WARNING: this process will erase all songs off the GoGear.
Disconnect the GoGear from computer.
Turn the GoGear off.
Hold in the volume + button.
Reconnect the GoGear while holding in the volume + button.
Continue holding the volume + button.
After 5-50 seconds, Windows will pop-up a "Found New Hardware Wizard." - complete the wizard (BTW, you can take your hand ff the volume + button now).

Problem


Install and run the Device Manager software from the product CD.

Use the Restore option to format the device and reload the firmware.

This should fix the "Connect to PC" problem.

To download tracks you need to use the Music Match software on the product CD.

Make sure that the software recognises the player as "GoGear" and not "Removable Drive E:" etc

If the software shows the device as removable drive then go into the Music Match options menu and click the drop down menu, select GoGear and click apply.

Doesnt start up


Hi. My Inovix mp3/4 player suffered a similar fate when it crashed during a Firmware reload. The player went completely dead and wasn't even recognised by the computer when plugged into the USB port. I basically kept on trying - a couple of times whenever I used the computer - using different ports. 2 days later - 'ding-dong' - Windows XP suddenly recognised something was in the port, and I tentatively attempted a Firmware reload. Success! (Don't ask me to explain it tho'...)
