if the bearing is on the armature shaft
pull the armature from the case and place the armature in a vise (free) with a flap bar on either side under the bearing across the jaws of the vice
use a soft hammer and hit on the end of the shaft driving the armature down and out of the bearing

Armature replacement

If there are brushes, they are hanging up on the armature. Take out the brushes. They are usually held in by black covers with screwdriver slots in them.

Can i remove my armature 2414 from winding and how in what way?

If it is the old style 2414 remove the 4 screws holding the guard on. Take the brushes out, you should then be able to lift the main gear housing out of the machine bringing the armature with it. If the housing come away but leaves the armature in the main housing then tap the side edge of the housing with a soft mallet. In extreme cases remove the vent cover from the left of the machine and tap the end of the armature with a suitable item.

I can not remove armature caseing from makita miter saw

The casing at the saw end will have an inside case that is bolted either from behind the gears or from the armature side by screws. This has to be undone to allow the bearing to separate from the case

How to remove armature in makita 5806B

Removed the three screws to release the motor housing from the blade housing. If the the armature stays in the motor case then try tapping the edge of the open end of the housing with a soft mallet. If it still won't move hole the end of the armature in a vice using SOFT JAWS and then tap the edge of the housing to remove the motor case.

It might be that the rear bearing has siezed in the housing.

Reciprocating saw armature removal

usually there is a screw in the diaphragm to hold that assembly tight. You need to remove the brushes first and you might need to GENTLY pry the diaphragm from the motor housing. Then using a soft blow hammer tap the armature out of the plate. I would recommend replacing the bearings and brushes when doing the armature. Let me know if you need more assistance.

I am about to pull out the armature and there is a shield under the cooling fan (which is conected to the armature) that should slide out with the armature. It is real tight and I do not want to pry to...

Yes it should pull out with the armature. The plate can only be removed after you remove the nut and gear on the end of the armature. Make sure your brushes are pulled out first or they can hang up on the bearing at the other end of the armature which may be what is happening in your case.

Motor speed fluctuates and eventually stops

It sounds to me like you have a swollen field and/or armature. What happens in a situation like this is the armature swells after getting started. There is probably a short in either the armature or field or both which is causing the overheating. Once the armature heats a lot it gets stuck in the field. After cooling down it has contracted a little and will move. A good way to see if it is the problem is to remove the motor. Take the brushes out, remove the motor cover and try to remove the armature. If the field and armature have been swollen you will have a very hard time removing the armature, it should just slide out. Usually the plastic sheathing in the field will curl over preventing the removal of the armature. Look for burn marks on the armature and for blown comm bar connections. The armature alone for your model is $160 and the field is $87. It would be worth your while to replace these if they are the problem, along with new brushes and brush tubes. That is unless your housing is damaged due to excessive overheating. In this case you will have to puchase the whole motor which is $406. Post back if you have any questions.
