My F719 recently started going in reverse and that wouldn't be surprising, except that I only use a wireless controller and this particular controller does not have a reverse button. So what could have made it start going in reverse? How can I get it to go in the right direction?

You did not provide a make or model of your fan, but check your owner's manual if you have one. There should be a website or a service support telephone number to obtain more information. Most ceiling fans have a reversing switch on the fan itself. They can be a pull-chain type or a slide switch.
I have the 1365-196c in brand new condition. We recently changed fixtures. I believe it sold for nearly $2k new, but I am willing to sell it for a very reasonable price. If we could work it out, I also have the fan and multiple other minka fixtures in the same collection. Please contact me if interested.
what you actually need to do is have the fan on ie. spinning (albeit in
the wrong direction) then press and hold the change direction button.
after about 10 seconds or so the fan will slow down and then start to
spin in the opposite direction.
it's silly they don't make this clear in any of the instruction manuals.
The light leg should be hooked to a power source. If you have a separate wire from a wall switch, that's where it should be hooked. Otherwise, you can hook it to the fan leg and operate the light from the switch on the fan.
Try these two: 1) look for a small switch up near the light area on the dark-colored area of the fan. If a switch is there, then simply flip the switch to the other position; 2) if you have a remote control for the fan, the reverse mode may appear on the remote control. Hope this helps.
There is a switch on the housing of the fan. It is under the blades and above the lites if you have lights. Also same area as the chains. That is the reverse switch you might have hit it when cleaning the fan. just flip the switch iy goes left to right or reverse.
Good Luck and please rate
I've never heard of the light and reverse buttons being reversed. Normally It's the fan and light thats swapped (but your aware of that already). I would try a working w-32 from one of the other fans. There's also a shop called Fan Man Lighting in Minnesota who has a guy named Jason who has been fixing fans for over 20 years, He helped me with my Casa problems. Their website is www.FanManLighting.com Hope this helps.
