We took a few video's with my samsung s-800, I put my memory card into my laptop and viewed some of the pics and tried to play the vidoe's with windows media player and there was an error everytime, (error downloading disc) I was wondering if anyone could help us figure it out. We even downloaded them to the computer and tried playing but got the same error. Any help would be appreciated,

Did you buy and insert a memory card?
Is the memory card unlocked?
The internal memory is very small and not fit to shoot your pictures.
If you did put in a new memory card, please goto the setup menu and format the card.
The camera is intended to take videos (and photos) and display them. It is not intended to display videos from another source. If the external video was taken on another Canon camera then you might be able to view it on the camera if you put it onto a memory card. You'll have to put it onto the card using the camera that took the video, or else using a card reader connected to a computer.
This should do it for you: Insert the SD card into your laptop or computer. In the SD card go to "New Folder" name that folder "DCIM" in the "DCIM" folder create a new folder. This one you will name "101KC190" (I'm pretty sure you have the Kodak Easyshare 190, correct?) Now, transfer all of your pictures into "101KC190." Insert the SD into your camera and it should work. email me if you need to email@example.com
how do i find out what program or codec my camera has used to compress photos, i took a large number of photos and videos on my memory card, i can view them through the camera but when i load them onto the computer the first few hundred will open and then it says that i cant open the rest due to my computer not having the correct program to view the files, the camera is a few years old it is a finePix S5700 fujifilm, i have googled some info and have figured out that when space starts to be limited the camera will compress the files and thats why i can see the photos on the camera but when i transfer them to the laptop i dont have the right program to decode the compressed files, i understand that and also that i can down the load the codec i need to open the files but my problem is i dont know what codec i need to install on my computer or how to find it out..
Hi, camcorders will usually record videos in Tape/cd/dvd and the pictures will be saved on to a memory card, if available. So if your camcorder is having memory card then your pictures may be saved on to it. So remove the memory card from your camcorder, put it in any laptop card reader and transfer the pictures in it. I hope this solution is useful to you. Thanks
The Samsung S850 has an internal feature to do this. I have one. Put in your memory card and turn on the camera, push the button on the bottom right hand side of the lcd screen to view the picture, next when you see a picture (it can be any picture) push the OK button, this brings up a set of commands across the top of the screen, as you go across the commands one of them will be "copy to card". Select yes and the camera will copy the pictures to the card.
