How do I wire up a Honeywell HE120 so it gets power only when the blower is on?

You didn't say what kind of furnace you have, but here is a link to what is known as an "air flow" switch that will allow the humidifier to operate only when it senses air flow through the furnace:

Did you check the orifice inside the supply water tube? Sometimes the orifice can come loose and allow to much water inside the humidifier.

Hello, first thing is check is the strainer going into the solenoid valve for sediment, if there is clean the strainer and reinstall. If the strainer in clean the check if you are getting 24 volts to the solenoid valve, if you have voltage and the solenoid does not let the water thru replace the solenod valve.

Wiring a generalaire 1042 humidifier to a goodman furnace, when there are no terminals marked hum

The yellow wire connected to the I.D. Blower pressure switch
is powered anytime the pressure switch is closed and provides
24 VAC humidifier control. Remove the yellow wire and connect
the supplied brown jumper wire to the pressure switch
terminal. Reconnect the yellow wire to the "piggyback" terminal
on the brown jumper and then connect the 24 VAC line of the
humidifier to the stripped end of the brown wire. Using a wire
nut or a field-supplied quick connect terminal can make this
connection. The wiring must conform to all local and national
codes. Connect the COM side of the humidifier to the B/C
terminal on the furnace control board (or to the COM side of
the 24 VAC transformer). DO NOT CONNECT 115V HUMIDIFIER

Hello, if this is a drum type humidifier the small motor that turns the drum might be bad, take the drum off and see if the small shaft of the motor turn without the drum on it. if it does not turn than most likey the shaft or the internal parts of the motor are craked and must be replaced. If it does turn without the drum on it than either the filter is causing the problem or the drum is not seated properly. I hope this helps

My honeywell humidifier attachment on my furnace will not start after the summer with water running to it.I have the humidity cranked up, but the filter is still bone dry.

Humidifiers usually are wired up to ONLY come on when the Heat is on and the fan running....anyother time you check it it will not be powered or wet...turn your heat on , wait till the fan comes on...then turn up your humidistat you should hear a click if its a flow through type and water should start flowing from the top...or if its tyhe drum style with the should see it then turning...if it doesnt turn the pad/spindle may not be installed properly...if only fits one way
