Question about Thermador Freezer FREEDOM® T24ID80PLS
Posted by Anonymous on
Thermodynamics: pressure differential when warm air cools causing a difference in pressure. after closing a freezer wait until the pressure equalizes usually within 10-15 seconds then reopen the freezer. as far as the gurgling this is normal. it is the drain tube usually a J type tube that prevents warm air from returning into the freezer.

No solution but just a warning. We had this same thing happen. They sent a repairman to replace the control board. Then did it again. Just before Christmas, the WATER started dispensing by itself. Luckily, I was nearby and heard it or the damage would have been extensive from flooding. They are now 'working on' getting a response from Thermador. I feel like this thing is just a homeowners claim waiting to happen.

Tips for a great answer:
I appreciate your inquiry, Tammy McAninch!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire freezer door pops open when you open your refrigerator door. This can happen with new refrigerators because the seal is new. I understand your question is labeled under model FGHB2866PF. It could be issues with your door not aligned properly and hitting your freezer door to open. I would check the gasket to make sure they are creating the proper seal on your freezer in order to check that you can use a dollar bill. Place a dollar bill between the body of the freezer and close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing it. If nothing is stopping the door from closing then replace the gasket. If you continue to experience issues with your freezer door I would recommend reaching out to a professional for further assistance. I hope this information helps to some degree. -Matt
