I need to replace the throttle wire on my Conquest 16hp Simplicity. Is this much of a job?

I believe what you're referring to is actually a cable not a wire. These are usually inexpensive and relatively easy to replace. I would go direct to manufacturer to ensure getting a matching part that doesn't require modification to work on your unit. Then simply route it just like the original was and you should be good to go.

NOTE: if you only have one lever, and not a separate clutch control, you will want to make sure that the clutch bar is only pushing forward at the very end of the high throttle setting and that it returns freely when you pull it back.

They do not make that pto clutch anymore but you can buy a electric pto clutch for around $200.00 -$300.00 You will need to check the shaft size it should be 1" or 1 1/8" I could give you more info but you need to find it your self.
good luck

Simplicity sunstar 20hp rear pto won't engage deck when you flip the switch, it used to work for a while and I could play with it and it would work but now nothing, any suggestions.

your electric clutch may need adjustment. Take the hood off. Look behind the double pulley that's on the crank shaft. Behind the pulley is an electric clutch. You will need a .010-.015 feeler gage and check between the clutch plates. You will tighten the three screws that mount the clutch to the motor. Try and get as close to .010" as you can. After adjustment start the motor and try and engage the pto. I bet it will work.

Good luck

Did you install the original electric clutch from the old engine?

If so, you may not have the adjustment right. On most electric clutches, there is a specific distance between the drive plate and the driven plate. Check your shop manual (if you have one) for this, as it does vary between manufacturers, and depending on the size of clutch.
