Try to sew slower. In my sewing class the bobbin always freezes, and if I go slower it works better sometimes.

Brother VX1435, needle won't move

some machines when the bobbin winder is engaged will not sew, do you
have to disengage the center wheel in the handwheel to wind a bobbin?
or do you have to just move the bobbin winder spindle to the right to
wind the bobbin?
do you have a manual for the machine?

Bobbin winder belt melted

Mine stopped working too. Gave up and wound bobbins by hand for a while until I broke down and took the machine apart -- an ordeal to figure out. I found that a pliable ring on the winder was completely disintegrated (gummy plastic-like stuff). An online search found this -- a bobbin "tire" which I THINK is the part I need: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bobbin-winder-tire-brother-x55238051.aspx. Hope this helps. --Also cleaned all the lint out when I had the machine opened up. They don't make it EASY!

Bobbin will not rewind

SE270D. Lift the bobbin and reposition, making sure it is down against the pin.

If this is not the problem, a Sidewinder Bobbin Winder (auxiliary bobbin winder sold with most sewing notions) is a lot cheaper than taking the machine in for service.

Need to thread machine-no manuel

most common machine have in threading process,I ve holding different brand sewing machine they only differ is in design but the process are commonly same, start bobbins winder to wind threads
  • pull thread from spool on top of machine insert bobbins winder disc then rotate on bobbins winder 4 to 6 times manualy put it on the shaft winder locate at top of machine near handwheel, push the latch against to bobbins winder to fit, then release clutch handwheel by pulling handwheel to disengage motio only winder will rotate when you press foot pedal and start winding thread on clockwise rotation.if this filled insert bobbins winder to bobbins case and pull the end of thread inserting to the slot of bobbins case observe should have tension on this.e5b8d97.jpgas shown and dirction of thread.inset this on the shuttle case.then start looping thread on top of machine as shown22d0eb9.jpgthen start adjusting tension on tension dial you can see in fig.Set dial at # 3 at start of set up ,Stich adjustment at #8 to 12 adjust gradually.
the hook up the lower thread bobbins from lower shuttle by threads on needle then insert cotton fabrics manualy rotate handwheel until needle the fabrics freely don't apply foot pedal let it shown if the neele sew freely w/o looping under bobbins let sew manualy until it appears stiches on fabrics,if ok continue now aply foot pedal

Dont know how to use the sewing machine so how do i thread

well!I If you buy a new sewing machine it has a manual to guide you in any brand. But if buy a used one sometime it doesn't have a manual, you didn't mention the type of sewing machine you want to use any how if you have a mechanical sewing machine it's better to start on it.First you must know and must familiarize the significant part of machine and important usage of them,I'll just mention the most usage part at start.Putting thread in bobbins first there is bobbins winder where thread was wind, draw thread from spool through bobbins winder tension disc located at top of machine.wind thread around an empty bobbins serveral times then, place bobins onto bobbins winder shaft with thread wound on bobbins clockwise sometimes this is located at top right side a shaft coupled to circular rubber touching handwheel perpendicular sometime it was located at right side front of machine near handwheel.Release clutch by pulling handwheelor rotating pivot wheel counterclockwise at the center of handwheel whlle holding freeze the handwheel tigh in order to disingage the motion of handwheel from mechanism of machine.

Sears Kenmore Sewing Machine Model 385. 1254180 Bobbin Won't Wind

The winding sound is the rubber O-ring against the spinning pulley (back of hand wheel) - do not let this continue, it will wear out the O-ring.

I had the same problem and I found the shaft bushing of the winder dry and needed lubed. Use oil or spray lithium grease and it should work fine. Spin the bobbin shaft by hand (not the hand wheel) to get it freed up after oiling.

You can oil from the top and should take off the side case to clean the excess oil from the O-ring. The shaft bushing is a tight fit and any dry oil will get sticky and prevent winding.

Viking sewing machine

My Viking Rose bobbin winder wont release my bobbin. This is the second time this has happened with the same bobbin, and I got it off the first time by gently manipulating the bobbin. It was full of thread so I decided to use it and then dispose of the empty bobbin. Well, you can imagine what happened! When it was empty, I, of course, forgot and put it right back on the winder. What do I do?
