SOURCE: Brother PE770 Hoop size programming stuck on small hoop option

Your machine would be able to perform 5 X 8 embroideries. The hoop size on this machine is recognized by the machine itself, depending of the embroidery file size. So it the embroidery is small, it will indicate that the small hoop is needed.

But U can use the large hoop, position the embroidery where U want then perform another embroidery on the sams hoop.

Why will my PR650 not embroider any larger than 6.5 by 7.45?

It may be the number of stitches in the design. Each hoop size has a maximum number of stitches it can stitch, even though the size seems ok. OR, perhaps there is just one stitch that 'infiltrates' the border area that is necessary around each design in the hoop. Check with Brother.com

The machine is moving my design over approx. 1.5 inches before it begins to embroider. The design looks correct on the screen and the appropriate hoop is lit up. Help!!!

by default the machine always start with the hoop centered so make sure you have the center of your design in the center of the hoop then when your machine starts it will move the spot where the digitizer started the design. If you do this and hoop size is correct it should stich out fine. you can use this link to download the manual.

I transfer the pattern to the card and when I put it in my machine to sew it tells me that this card does not work in this machine

I've just had the same problem and found that you need to change the size of your hoop down to a smaller hoop size. Hope that works for you!

I have a Do All Quilter's Hoop which I can't use

I'm a bit amazed that a Husqvarna technician was unable to do the minor adjustment to the embroidery arm - he needs to contact Husqvarna headquarters and ask for instructions. Meantime, you can still use your hoop (which by the way is my favourite hoop - it's a little beauty!). Tell your machine you are going to use the Large Hoop (6" x 9.5" or 150mm x 240mm) even though you are really using the 6" x 6" or 150mm x 150mm Do It All Hoop. Provided you have centred your design before loading it on your USb stick or floppy drive, it should work. However, just to reassure yourself, use the Check Size button on your touch screen to test the outside size of the embroidery and be sure it is not going to foul on the hoop borders. (It is the one on the second screen (press More to access this) once your have loaded your design - looks like little double arrows pointing to the corners of a square. Each time you press this button, the needle will zoom to each outer corner of your design in turn.

I bought a large hoop for my machine. But I still

From what I have been able to find out about this model, the embroidery area is limited to 4 x 4.

A larger hoop cannot change the built-in configuration of the machine's computer.

You can use a larger hoop, stitch out what you can and then re-hoop to finish - this is not easy to do.

Measuring the distance between the letters and then centering the last letter to match the previous stitching can be done, but it takes a little practice.

You can make a template using tear away stabilizer.

Stitch out the first 5 letters. Carefully remove the stabilizer - this is going to be a portion of the template.

Hoop another sheet of tear-away and stitch out the last 5 letters (these will partially overlap the first 5 when finished). Remove as in the first step.

Overlap the two templates (tape them together) and this should help you align the letters when you have to re-hoop.

Testing and a bit of practice is how I do it.

There is editing software for splitting designs and if you are interested - check Embird as it seems to be the most reasonable.

Have a se270d and just purchased ped basic. Put designs on card and put card in machine, but it won"t read the card at all. No error message or anything, but it does recognize there is a card present....

Check the design size and format.

The 270 is limited to a 4 x 4 hoop and the design must fit inside this measurement without the foot hitting the hoop.

The format must be pes
