Question about Dyson Dc34 Animal Handheld Vacuum With Longer Run Time For Pet Owners
After being charged it will work for a few seconds and then die, you have to give it a few more seconds and it will work again briefly. Have washed filter and cleaned it all out.

1. Check the on/off button these can also be troublesome and if you've stood on the cable once or twice you could have a break in the wire and it's shorting, check by turning on and wiggle cable around where it enters machine.
2. Faulty thermocouple, it is held in a white plastic housing screwed with one T15 torx screw to the motor housing. You could replace it but I just shorted mine with some wire and it hasn't failed since and more importantly not caught fire yet!

SOURCE: Smelly Animal Bagless Dyson
You've cleaned up urine...somehow. To remove that odor, go to a local flea mkt or store that sells essential oils and buy "Citronella" (smells awesome) 1/2-1oz. bottle will last forever. Add 4-5 drops to the paper filter element - smell gone!

SOURCE: Not holding charge
Ok, folks.. I just posted my own problem with the battery not holding it's charge..but, we fixed it ourselves.. take the motor loose from the canister , remove the filter and in the back are two contacts.they are two screws at the bottom one on each side... get out your pencil with a GOOD eraser and clean those contacts!..clean around them both and the contact (silver spot at the bottom) and you're good to go!!
