It did that to me too, so I reduced the amount of milk to the indicated level inside. No more mess after that.

The pressure valve on my Mukka Express doesn't pop up. Instead after 10 minutes the valve is forced off. I rinse it really well and have even put it in boiling water. How do I get it to pop up?

I have the same problem. I cleaned all the parts, changed the pressure valve, cleaned the gasket, filters, everything. I hear the steam escaping from the overflow valve and if at that point I manually pull the valve up, then it does (barely) pop and steam the milk, but not as well as it used to.

My mukka is shooting steam out of the small valve/washer thing on the bottom pot part. As it gets hots the valve pops up (but not with gusto like it used to do) and then I get a little coffee mixed in with...

I had the same problem and saw this solution in another bialetti mukka problem report, which made sense: "the safety valve on the lower boiler chamber is there to release pressue in case too much prssure builds up in the pot when brewing. If youy have an 11 mm wrench you can take it out and clean it by pulling on the outsidepart, there is a little knob that may be grabbed by a tweezer, gently pull it out, it is spring tensioned, and run water in the opposite end, Chances are some coffee grounds particles got in it and it is not seating good. after cleaning put a few drops of olive oil in it , the inside part. Should seal better and still funtion as a safety valve. Or you can leave it in place in the pot and just pull on the outside , flush with water and then put a few drops of olive oil in it. While you are at it, put olive oul on the threads, olive oil film and the the rubber seal and add a little to the rubber button on the top valve."

I cannot unscrew the top of the Mukka Express machine from the bottom!

If the bottom is screwed too tight on the top, you could try to warm the with hot water and cool the bottom with cold. This could help to expand the top and make it easier to unscrew.

Hi My gaggia titanium is not frothing milk correctly. I've descents but that has still not solved the problem It's sounds like it's spitting Thanks

Try this remove the parnello wand and open the valve if you get a nice burst of steam then the problem is in the parnello wand, if you get the same spitting, then there is something in the valve or the steam boiler that is preventing the proper flow of steam.

Makes a bang sound and spit sout steam

Try first to pour out some hot water first from steam wand and then try to make coffee.

No steam when valve opened, spits out water in the beginning of frothing

There is a small teflon piece on the inside of the steam tube, you will have to disassemble the frother to get to it. Remove this piece. Reassemble and the wand should work fine.

First off, the best milk for foam is skim milk (0% fat). The higher the fat content, the less foamy your foam will be.

The foam is created by the steam/hot coffee from the lower part being forced through the doohickey and into the milk. That means that if the coffee itself isn't "perfect", the foam won't be "perfect". I've found that using different types of coffee (e.g. different grinds) or filling the coffee bin to different levels results in more or less steam/pressure being passed through, so the foam is better/worse. For example, if I put too much ground coffee in the bin or use too fine a grind, it blocks the water/steam that's going through the coffee, resulting in less coffee and weaker coffee, and also resulting in less foam.
