The dryer has a diagram on the machine. The centrifugal switch is on the end of the motor and they close when the motor is running. This contact is in the element circuit.

I can't find a diagram but I can tell you. The two out side are your hot and the center is nutral. If you are putting a four wire on, it just adds a ground to the three.

Here is a link to your diagram, Whirlpool prints both gas and electric models on the same page, since yours is gas use the bottom diagram.
