Install mcafee if possible and scan with that!
The virus is a 'smallvbs' or 'killvbs'.
It is well detected and healed by a mcafee!

SOURCE: Webroot antivirus won't run.

I'd uninstall and go with something like Avira Antivirus
I haven't had ANY issues running this program. All I deal with is the occasional pop up when new definitions are installed. For what it can do, I think it's the best out there for it's price range...free.
If you wish to stick with Webroot...it sounds like it's conflicting with other program/s. Make sure your program is compatible with your OS. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if it were Vista.

SOURCE: Webroot problems

I just went through this this afternoon, I spent 8 hours removing and updating and loading McAfee and running it too.

Webroot is a bad program, it is hard to remove and some of the componets just cannot be removed unless you do a search for the file and then delete it....if you need a certain dll then the anti-virus should detect that and remove or quarantine it.

I would suggest that you remove Webroot, and install another anti-virus program...I swear by McAfee, it removed over 30 problems or quarantined them, it works and is well worth the money spent....If you have Comcast, it is FREE to download on all of your computers in your home....just part of the internet service.

PS...Uniblue registry booster is no good, and another one that is hard to remove...it has spyware too.

How to remove win32/mebroot?

Hi there,
Well this Win32/mebroot is a trojan and you need a trojan killer to remove this. you can remove this by two ways -
1. Online - means when your computer runs the operating system and you can install the trojan killer and search for the trojan.
2. Offline - in this you don't need to start the operating system of your computer, you just need the offline CD of a trojan killer that starts automitally before windows start and then you just make a search for the trojan.
Please follow the below link to get your trojan killer -

There is no such thing as a worm virus. Avast is a decent, free antivirus though.

Trojan virus promblem after open *** webside

Follow the given instructions to remove Trojan Virus from your PC.
1. Launch an antivirus program that you should have installed on your computer, such as Symantec's Norton or McAfee. Wait for the program's window to appear, then go to "Disk View." Highlight your computer, then select "Scan/Repair" so that the antivirus can detect the Trojan and trash it.
2. Exit the antivirus program on your Mac. Restart your computer again to ensure that the Trojan has been deleted. Empty the trash can on your computer once it is back up and running.
3. Disable the System Restore feature if you're a Windows user. Go to "Start" at the bottom of your screen, then right-click the "My Computer" icon to go to "Properties." Check "Turn off System Restore" under the System Restore tab in the "Properties" window, then select "Apply." Confirm that you want to disable System Restore by clicking "Yes" and "OK."
4. Update your virus definitions in your antivirus program. Open the program, or go to the website, to download the latest definitions so that you can receive the most recent alerts and keep your computer protected.
5. Scan your files to detect the Trojan file. Follow the instructions in your antivirus program to delete any suspicious files. You may want to write down the path and file name of the Trojan, which is usually found in the "C:\" hard drive. Then, edit your computer's backup registry by choosing "Start," then "Run." Type "regedit" in the window that appears and click "OK."
6. Search for the registry entry from which the Trojan derived, which may begin with "HKEY" followed by the file path. Delete the registry entry to ensure that the Trojan is removed. Exit the registry entry, and restart your computer so that the changes can take effect.

Popup stated "I-Worm.Trojan.b" found on your computer.

Download Avast from download.com Avast is a very good free software that will set the record straight on whether you have a virus or not. When you download it, change all the settings to high so it scans archive files as well. And make sure you do a boot scan.
