My ss3200 timecutter stalls sometimes when i engage the blade, it also does the same thing when i take the mower out of park...only once in a while, but becoming more frequent. What could be the cause of this?

SOURCE: After staring my mower motor, the motors stops

Check your fuel filter if you have one.
Sounds like you will need to clean the carburetor or replace your carburetor internal rubber parts like the diaphgram and O rings.
Be sure to use compressed air to blow out all the fuel and air passages.
Be careful when blowing out the passages, because there are sometimes small rubber type seats in the bottom of some of the passages.
Sometimes you can get by with priming the carburetor or using starting fluid and letting it run a few times like that and it will flush the gunk out of the jets, but most of the time you will need to rebuild the carburetor.
Keep in mind that the float for the carburetor must be level when you go to reassemble the carburetor or follow the instrucitons you get with the carburetor kit.
If the mower/weedeater is over a year old, then I also recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank.
When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, you will first need to lightly seat the jet screws.
But before you lightly seat the jet screws count the number of turns it takes to seat the jet screws from their original position.
Be sure to mark the turns down on a piece of paper.
That way when you put the jets back in, you know to lightly seat them first and then turn them back out to their orginal position before you started.

SOURCE: I have a Toro 38"

Have you checked out the seat safety switch and also is your mower capable of cutting in reverse? There are aslo safety switches on some models that kill the blades when backing up. Check these and see if you can find an issue with one of these. Sounds like one of the safety switches is going bad and killing the blades and then restarting them, if not then you may have a bad electric clutch or a loose wire on the clutch. Let me know what you find.

Sounds like the seat switch is not reading you are in the seat. Without a wiring diagram, it is difficult to say exactly.

I have no idea what type or model of mower you have but if I was to guess I would say it has an electric pto clutch on it, if so remove your pto belt and clutch. I would bet it is burned out and locked up preventing your motor from turning over. Once the clutch is removed I will bet it will start and run fine. This is not a cheap fix but relatively easy one. Hope this helps.

Timecutter PTO clutch switch clicks when I engage the switch but will not engage the belts

Check under the deck and make sure the blades can spin freely, there will be resistance but mostly check to see if they are stuck. If they are not and can move, yiu can try to remove the belt from the pto, engage and see if it spins then. If it does not than there is probably an issue with pto clutch
