Make sure the dip switches are set identical on each printer. Use your old printer as the example They are located at the bottom of the printer near where the interface cable plugs into the printer.

Try the driver from here: http://www.starmicronics.com/supports/starlegacydrivers.aspx#SP2000 . Extract the file from the zipped download (just right click and choose Extract All). Then either install with an exe file in the folder or use the Add a Printer Wizard and choose "I have the disc" and browse to the folder that the files were extracted into. The list that comes up otherwise lists printers that have drivers built into the OS. The SP2000 drivers are not part of WinXP.
The automatic installer (called SI.exe for some Star Micronics printers) will be easier since the SP2000 designates the printer class not the specific printer. (The automatic installer will list a model of SP2320, SP2360, SP2520, or SP2560 depending on the features of the printer.) Click OK at the Star Printer window. Then check the port that is being assigned to the printer then click OK again.
I hope this helps.

It could be a setting in the driver or in your point of sale software. If you want to check the driver, right click on the TSP100 in Printers and Faxes and click on properties, then printing preferences and advanced. In advanced, make sure the copy count is set to 1.
