Question about Washing Machines

MWM145W will not start

Hello, The machine will not start, 1) The start button does not have a positive feel, is it a fleeting contact onto the PC board? 2) When you turn the program switch past zero there is a click somewhere, maybe like a solenoid going in and out. 3) No indication of the problem using the light sequence in the manual, just the ''program ready'' light staying on. 4) The machine has been playing up intermittently for the past two weeks. 5) Tried rebooting it from the mains socket, still no good. Regards Ian

Hi

unplug the washer, then plug a lamp in the same socket that the washer was plugged into, turn the lamp on to be sure that the receptical is still getting electricity to it. if it is then you'll need to start checking on the other suggestions, if not, maybe a bad receptical.
you said you already checked the circuit breaker.
good luck to ya Rylee

Make sure that the dispenser drawer is closed. The washer will not start if the control senses that this drawer is open. There is a magnet in the dispenser drawer that is detected by a switch when this drawer is properly closed. If this magnet fell out and it missing, then the washer will not start. You can pull out the dispenser drawer. Turn it over and check for the magnet

    You need to consider the following

    • Jammed drain pump.

    • Loose or burnt wires at the motor or timer.

    • Timer

    • Start Capacitor

    • Motor

    • Transmission

    • Improper voltage

That is probably a faulty control board. Give me the model number to get more information.

Where is the on switch on a matsui mwm145w

There isn't one. Basically, when you set it up for a specific cash program by rotating the program knob, it will switch on when you press the start/pause button. When the wash cycle is complete, you can turn the program knob to "O" at the top, which is "off".

Hello - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, there may be a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Otherwise since it is such a complex unit I would recommend contacting a professional to have either the pump or timer diagnose.

Trouble DL no start

The machine requires the door to lock prior to starting any cycle. Sometimes, the door lock connector comes loose. Try this:

1. UNPLUG THE MACHINE FIRST
2. Open the door and remove the retaining spring on the rubber bellow that connects it to the metal front panel.
3. Peel the bellow open on the door lock side (roughly 3 o'clock position)
4. At this point, you can reach in and feel the door lock assembly and the wiring that comes into the bottom of it. Wiggle the connector a bit and push it upward to be sure the contacts are being made.
5. Reassemble everything, plug it in and give it a try. If this doesn't help, you may need to have the door lock replaced.

Good luck.

Hello,

First of all is the machine doing anything it should not be.That alarm code does not exist on our system,the closest is EH1 and this relates to Power supply problems or a faulty PCB.To cancel press and hold the start/pause button and the nearest option button for about 5 seconds,now turn the programme knob to position 10 then hold in the start/pause button and option buttons again till alarm disappears and E00 is showing.Then turn dial to 0 then back to position 1 then back to 0 to cancel operation.

Hope this helps.

Machine won't restart after reset, 'start/pause' button flashing.

Hello,

When you put it to drain/spin does the pump make any attempt to drain,if not it could be that there is something stuck in the pump,needs draining manually.Another thing to try is to find the fault code.If you hold down the 2 buttons on the far right of panel then press on/off button till lights start chasing,then release the 2 buttons on right hand side.Now the first function button by the on/off button you will need to press until the light above the button reaches the 9th or 10th position this will give you a read out in the display.
E10 = low water press.
E20 = pump or filter.
E30 = press. switch or heater faults.
E40 = Door swich.
E50 = motor.
Some of these numbers can vary there are more but those are the most common.After checking codes switch off machine then back on twice to reset.

Hope this helps.

Matsui mwm145w goes straight into a spin cycle

Try to move the timer to a different postion if it still does the same thing turn the timer one full turn and try turning it on again if it still does it you have a bad timer, as for the bounceing that could be casue the leg stops need to be adjusted so machine is level, You may have a bad drum roller as well.
