Taking a photo with my new live cam vista im

I've tried to take my own individual picture by going into photo manager, but I am still not able to take my own picture. I would like someone to tell me or send me to my e-mail instructions on how to use and take pictures with my new webcam.

Hi vlietd,

Have you tried downloading the stand alone windows live essentials:

http://g.live.com/1rewlive4-all/pt-br/wlsetup-all.exe

It contains:

Program of Windows Live Essentials 2011:
  • Messenger: Chat in real time with friends and family by phone or computer.
  • Photo Gallery: Create slideshows, organize, retouch and share your photos.
  • Mail: Send and receive email messages and manage your contacts and calendars.
  • Movie Maker - Edit your videos, add special effects, transitions, sounds and subtitles. Then publish them instantly on YouTube with just a few clicks.
  • Writer: Create professional blog posts, with pictures, videos, maps and more and post them on WordPress, Blogger, TypePad, etc.
  • Family Safety: Manage and monitor the activity of their children on the Internet.
  • Bar Bing: Get search results Bing without leaving the site where you are.
  • Messenger Companion: View and discuss the links that your friends share while you surf.
  • Windows Live Mesh: Synchronize and access your files on all computers you use.
  • Outlook Connector Pack and Microsoft Silverlight.
So it is quite large in size approx 200mb.

Regards,

Oliver

I have connected LG Xenon phone to my Compaq computer with Windows Vista. I can bring up individual photos but how do I transfer them to my computer - I tried pressing copy and paste but that did not work.

First of all, make the changes on your phone for the USB connection type. Please follow the exact instructions mentioned below:
1. Touch this (nonontech_209.jpg) and touch (nonontech_210.jpg),
2. Touch (nonontech_211.jpg)
3. Select Connection.
4. Touch USB Connection Mode.
5. Touch Mass Storage.
6. Reconnect the device to a PC
The autoplay will open up on your computer, it should look similar to this:
nonontech_14.gif

Click the "import pictures" or "View Pictures" (if you wish to view the photos), it'll proceed as per your selection. Follow the onscreen instructions.

If "Autoplay" doesn't show up, open "My Computer", locate the new removable disk and navigate through the folders, there must be a folder with the name "Pictures" or "images" or "Photos", open it and you'll be able to copy it/them.

If you have problem, let me know.

Good Luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Gone from XP to Vista..How do I move indivual folders into an existing folder..eg..I have scanned 20 photos..all came up as individual folders..so how do I move each of them into a new folder

The images come up as 'individual folders'? Thats is pretty strange, or maybe you meant come up as individual 'files'? Anyways, the princeple is pretty much the same: 1. Open the Folder from which you wish to remove items 2. Open the Folder to which you want to put the files 3. Either click and drag files between the two folders or 4. Select the files you want to move, right click anyone of the them and select 'cut' or copy' and go to your destination folder, right click in the genral area and click 'paste'
