Hi Your harddrive has bad indexing unit so this problem arise. For that you need to fix error on harddrive. First open cpu cabinet reconnect RAM memory and both connection to harddrive and power cable and ide or sata cable. Then for fix error on harddrive boot computer with cd/dvd rom then enter in recovery console and type in prompt "chkdsk /r" without "" then press enter then it fix error on harddrive. Then again boot computer with windows disk then choose repair option then if still problem arise then you need to repartitioning the harddrive then format harddrive and install windows then it will work fine. How to upgrade a harddrive. because my desktop is running slowly

Hello

If your computer starts running slow, it does not necessarilly mean that you need to replace your HDD.
TRy reloading windows, and upgrading your ram first. The harddrive you use has little effect on the actual running speed of your computer.

I really hope this can help you.

Kind regards
Andrea

Old Harddrive New Xbox

You will not have any problems using the Hard drive on your new console. The only catch is any Live Arcade downloads will not work offline until you do the DRM transfer. Even though you are using the same Hard Drive the DRM is married to the original console. They have made it easy to transfer now. All you need is to be logged into XBOX Live and a computer that is on the internet. Just turn on your console, log it into XBOX Live, and use the computer to go to www.xbox.com/drm That will solve all of your problems.

It has to have SATA Hard Drive Connector DFHS22FR685, if you have this then I would try to format the hard drive to what your operating system is using, either NFTS or FAT32. The drive may not be properly formated for your system.
