I am having the same problem. I have a Mintek 2110, but lost the remote control. I found this code on the Time Warner Cable site. 2096. I'm going to try and plug it into my universal remote this evening. If that works, the default passcode should be 88888. That's what I remember my code being years ago.

Player is fully charged. New Battery in remote. Cannot get Menu, Monitor, Title to work. Source button only displays AV Out and nothing else. Please help.

Hi there, try opening up your remote and cleaning the board with some contact cleaner. Sometimes there is a build up of dust and dirt that interferes with the pad contact.Worth a shot. Good luck.

Mdp-1020 won't read any disk

When you start the portable dvd empty, does it 'load' the firmware first. Then you put the dvd in. It also needs to load the title etc. into the portable. If it does not read use TDK lens cleaner. If it wroks, fine. Otherwise rinse off the dvd with hot water, then blot dry defore trying in your portable again.
