Re: I have an Athletic Works watch and can not turn off...
The mode button controls the different functions of the watch. time, alarm time, stopwatch, timeset, alarmset, in a repeating cycle. Make sure you are on the time function (seconds ticking and changing every second, but not flashing twice per second. This is the normal mode that shows the time.
A press of the lap/reset button (labeled) will show the alarm time, Unpress will show the time of day. Press again toshow the alarm time. Press and hold the lap/reset button will show the alarm time again, but it will hold there. While holding this lap/reset button, press the start/stop button (labeled). This will turn on (or off) the alarm (tiny indicator). Press this start/stop button repeatedly (while still holding the lap/reset button and you will see the indicator turning on and off with each press. Stop this button pressing with the indicator OFF, let up on the lap/reset button, and the time will return to the screen. The alarm will now be OFF.

I have the same Athletic Works stopwatch. I just figured out how to turn off the alarm: press either of the two mode buttons (middle top, or bottom right) until you see the regular time displayed (the seconds will be changing, but nothing else, and nothing will be flashing). Press and hold the reset button (top left); while holding down the reset button, press the start/stop button (top right). Watch the bell icon on the display in the upper right corner; with each press of the start/stop button you will see the bell either appear or disappear. When the bell disappears, release the reset button. The alarm is now off.
To turn the set alarm off, push buttons 3 and 4 at the same time, the
alarm icon should appear or disappear
To turn off the hourly
chime, press button 4. While holding it down, press button 2 and the
days of the week disappear. The chime is now off. If you want the chime,
press button 4 and hold while you press button 2. When all the days
show, the chime is on.
With my old watch (from Walmart), all i had to do was go into the time settings and cycle through the hours until it went past the military time's midnight and it would start going through "normal" AM/PM times.
1 There should be four buttons: mode, reset, start and light. Find the mode button and press it three times until it is in the set time mode.
2 Find the reset button, which usually is located on the bottom right side of the watch face, and hold it until the time starts blinking.
3 Press the start button to change minutes.
4 Press the reset button again to switch to hours. You will know it worked when the hour starts blinking instead of the minutes.
5 Press the start button to change the hour. The watch can handle two modes: standard and military. As you press start, the hour will change from AM to PM, noted by an "A" or a "P" in the top right. When you get through 24 hours, the watch will change to military time and an "H" will be displayed instead of "A" or "P." Keep pressing start to go through another 24-hour cycle and it will revert back to standard time.
If you hold the reset button you will see the number 12 flashing with an H next to it this is for standard or military time. To change it press the st/stp button. To go forward press mode. Then it will ask for the year set that then press mode. Now the date change it just like the Hour and year.then day do the same. Now timeSet that the same and it should work!
