Bosch Nexxt DLX washer-can't open round panel in lower front

I want to clean the filter in the front. I have washed a lot of laundry w/ dog hair and suspect there is a build up in the filter. I have read some other comments but cannot get the round access door off the front. The manual says this door is only for authorized service access. Should I do this or not?

The hole in the panel is very small. W/ such a small screwdriver I am not getting much leverage. The panel moves about 1/2 inch but won't budge past that. If I try to force it further the screwdriver (which will only go in 1/2 inch or so) slips out and I scratch the panel.

I have been pushing left and right and it only budges by millimeters. I don't know how it's supposed to come off. But this is only the tip of my iceberg. I'm just trying to free my trapped laundry because my service estimate on the thing not draining is 2 days.

You have to push inside a small hole and then turn left or right. Inside will be a filter. When you unscrew it, some water will come out. Rinse filter and remove dirt and some debris from inside. Carefully insert filter back (have to be specifically oriented) and screw it.

Its easy to do, and no you dont need to be a tech. I use a small screww driver w/ the tip in the hole push it left or right until it comes loose. then just un screw the pump cover. be careful the edges are razor sharp.

The cabinet (and load capacity, and many other charactristics) appears to be identical to my my 3-year-old "Siemens" model WFXD8400UC. (Yes, with regard to home applicances "Bosch" and "Siemens" are the same company.)

To open, you need to go CLOCKWISE, a bit more than one inch of movement at the hole. (This is about 1-1/2 inches along the outside edge of the round access cover.) INSIDE, there's a tab on the front cabinet, and a little plastic bit along the edge of the access cover, for the purpose of forcing you to put it back the same way....

There's 3 tabs and 3 gaps which match up to hold it in, but this 4th notch and plastic bit force you to put it with the hole at the 5 PM position. If there's damage from previous attempts, it's probably messed up down there-- and you might have to get kind of brutal. As an absolute last resort, drill through the round cover in various places and just wreck it-- towards the inside, try not to bash the cabinet too much. The replacement part is cheap.

Once you've got it off, you can bend the cabinet notches back into place before putting on the new one. Which, of course, you don't NEED in oder to run the washer. But if you start drilling, or hammering, or lunging with screwdrivers, be SURE not to go deep and damage the pump cover and the pump housing- all the stuff causing problems for you is less than 1/4" wide, there's ABSOLUTELY no need to go any deeper with any tool.

I have a vision 800 series laundry washer. I have a "check Pump" error. From what I have read I need to clean the pump filter. Also from what i have read I need to remove the bottom panel but...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Our (older) Bosch has 2 visible plastic '90 degree turning' screws holding the bottom front panel on. On some others the screws are covered by plastic caps. If yours has neither of these it could be that the cover should simply 'unclipped' by pulling at the ends.
Good luck!

Bosch 100 series will not drain

You need to check and clean the pump filter if you have not already done so.
This is located at the bottom front right of washer.
Unscrew anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

Bosch washer WFMC2201UC/15 has E13 error and will not fill

Hi  hartselectri,

Check the drain hoses and pump That code is for a longer than normal drain if it did not drain it would not let you open the door, You need to clean the filter. Remove the circular panel on the front right put a little screw driver in the hole and twist the access panel will pop off. Then you will need to twist the handle of the filter and pull it out you will find what is stopping the unit from draining in there very common. Also have a lot of towels handy all the water in the unit will come out when you pull the filter.

Bosch washing machine leaks at right bottom

The part that you removed, was the pump filter, the pump is located behind the filter, possibly, the pump itself is leaking, or the filter cover is not fastened in tight enough, pr the filter seal is defective, if after tightening, it still leaks, suggest you replace the pump.

E17 error code

Got an E17 Error today on a Bosch 6450 Series washer (the user manual says Bosch Vision 300/500/DLX series). Here's what I did to fix the problem.
- Tilted the unit back, propped up the front with some 2x4 (lying flat; that's all the room I had).
- removed 3 screws (Torx 20 I think) under the front lip. Then slid the cover (below the washer opening) down. This revealed the pump to empty the washer, a manual door lock opening pull rod, and a drain line (?)
- Looking through some holes in the front panel I saw some water on the bottom of the washer... but I spent a lot of time with the pump cleaning it out first (some zipper pull got in there and made a lot of plastic shavings). - Ultimately I got my hand the bottom of the washer and soaked up the water that I could find. That's when I realized
- there is a micro switch mechanism at the bottom near the front. This must be the "AquaStop". The mechanism contains a bit of styrofoam that floats up on any little amount of water that collects under it and triggers the microswitch. So, I removed that unit, wiped the water up... put it all back together. No more E:17 error.
Still don't know how the water got there in the first place though.

Is there a drain filter in the washer. we have lots of dogs and the washer seems to be taking longer for the cycles and maybe the hair is blocking the drainage from the clothes

yes there is a filter in the drain pump. remove the lower front panel and then you will see the pump.
take off the round cover and that is the screen to the pump. with what you have said it is probably plugged with lint and other stuff.
the pump will have water in it so be ready with a towel or a pan to catch the extra water. then whe you have the screen out, clean it and it should drain and work better.
the round screen is about 3 inches in diameter with a flat "handle" on the front of it. you cant miss it so take it apart and you can fix this yourself.
good luck, but you wont need luck, just a towel. about 1/2 a gallon of water.
