Question about Crock Pots & Slow Cookers

Prolex multi cooker

Bought this from B&M. No manual to explain what can be cooked on what settings. Only a description on how to put the item together & how to wash. Would be grateful if anyone has bought this item and could shred some light on it.

I'm sorry I don't have a solution, but having the same problem and wondered if you'd found answers? On the pitiful information it does give, it mentions a 'keep warm' setting, and an 'off' setting, mine doesn't have either! Just 0-5! 0 seems to switch it off, and 1 burns everything! Having a nightmare, and REALLY wanted the stupid thing to work.
Thanks in advance

Hi I bought a Prolex crock pot/slow cooker today and when I opened the box and took it out , there is a big bolt sticking out of the bottom which protrudes farther out than the legs which makes it wobble . I'm not sure what to do with it , do I take it back or just use it. I had another one but it was too big for us so I gave it to a friend it was a Judge 5.5 ltr . It didn't have a bolt protruding from the bottom of the outside of it . Does anyone have any suggestions what I should do (take it back or what ???? Thanks

Della 12 Quart 1600-Watt Electric Pressure Cooker Multi-Functional Timer Slow Cook XL Part number: 048-GM-48261 Unable to get this cooker to slow cook.

it is possible that you have misunderstood the instructions
for a slow cooker you have low medium and high
press slow cook and on low and in 8 hours the food is cooked
I see from your statements that you expect the cooker to be set on slow cook but cook at a high temperature fast
if it says slow cook --9 hours and the temp is 125 degrees , have you waited 9 hours to see if it is cooked as the slow cooking process is by the gradual build up of heat in the container that is not expelled by radiation to the air
in a pressure cooker , that build up of heat also builds up pressure and so it cooks better
other solution--- if it is not right return it for a warranty refund or if out of warranty , junk it and get a different make

Where can i find a manual for ultrex pressure cooker?

The company had a major recall and went out of business. No manuals appear to be available on the web.
Here are some general instructions you can use:

1 Set up your cooker. Place your Ultrex Pressure Cooker on the stove. Remove the lid and pour in no more than 2 inches of water. Depending on what you are cooking the amount of water will vary. More water will ultimately cook larger amounts of food, but you will need to refer to your specific model's instructions on this matter.
  • 2 Put in the food you wish to cook. Close and lock the lid firm to the pot. Make sure it is locked securely so none of contents boil out of the top.

  • 3 Turn on your burner to high heat for approximately ten minutes. Allow the water to boil.
  • 4 Turn the stove down to a low setting after the water is boiling in the cooker. Flip the pressure valve closed and allow your food to simmer.

  • Set the pressure valve to ten pounds. For vegetables, cook 30 to 45 minutes. For meats, cook 45 to 60 minutes.5
  • 6 Open the pressure valve and allow the pressure to discharge. Unlock and remove the lid to find your fully cooked meal.

How to use the slow cooker on the oval cooks essential pressure cooker

I have a Tricity TSC09 6 litre Slow Cooker and I just love it its so handy, if your gone for even 10 hours it keeps your dinner warm after the cooking time runs out. I smashed the lid and was so gutted I tried for hours online to find a replacement lid with no luck. I went shopping and bought a very cheap 6 to 7 Quart or 6 to 6.5 litre Slow cooker / Crock pot of the same shape the removable pot and lid fit. I bought a cookworks, signature, 24 euro 6.5 litre oval dog standard slow cooker and the lid fit, now I also have a removable pot replacement as well just in case I smash that too. So happy I have my Slow cooker back again.

Slow cooker will only stay on warm. How do I put

This slow cooker has 3 settings LOW, HIGH, & WARM
When you plug the slow cooker in the display should show a "0". When you press the "COOK TIME" button, the display should go to 1 then 2 then 3 etc. each time the "COOK TIME" button is pressed. If 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the "HIGH" setting. If 7,8,9, or 10 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the "LOW" setting. To start the cooking cycle press the "ON/OFF" button. To interrupt the cooking cycle at any time, press the "ON/OFF" button. When the cooking cycle is complete, your slow cooker will automatically switch to the "WARM" setting. If the "ON/OFF" button is pressed when the the digital display shows "0", then the slow cooker will automatically start on the "WARM" setting.
If the "COOK TIME" button does not change the display numbers then unplug the slow cooker and hold both buttons down as you plug the slow cooker in. Keep the buttons pressed for a count of ten, then release them and the slow cooker should work correctly
