Set for type of paper on printer

How do I set the paper type for making transparencies for overheads on my Canon Pixma ip 4300?

Duh! I already knew that. It did not have a choice for transparencies. I discovered (and it will be good for you to know) that the 'photo paper pro' works fine and you do not have to clean the printer after you use it.

    Thanks for trying anyway.

Canon Pixma IP 4300 printer - 3 blinking panel lights indicate paper jam, however no paper jam is present. I turned off machine, pulled power plug, waited for 5 minutes, turned on printer, but problem did...

It is possible that the printer is having an error due to either a sensor fault ( optocoupler) in the paper detect section or a possible software issue.
So disconnecct printter, and uninstall the soft ware , the reinstall and then connecct printer to be detected and installed.
If the fault stays then the sensor must be checked.

I have a lasser printer CANON LBP-5200 can I to print on photografic paper?, how many gr.?

Are you saying photographic paper or do you mean photoprint paper?
Yes, laser printer print just fine on photoprint paper. I use 20 lb or 22 lb bond. 18lb is a little light and is not usually photoprint.
If you mean overhead transparency, you have to try it. On some units the overhead transparency will melt a bit and wrinkle. You may need to try different makes of transparency. Make sure it says OK for laser printers!

Can I print on transparencies with my canon mp150 ? If so, what settings/icc do I use?

Yes, but they need to be specially made ink jet transparencies such as this:

Amazon Inkjet Transparencies

Canon recommends their own CF-102 transparency sheets. Set paper thickness lever to the Left and the Media Type to Transparency.

See page 17 of the manual for a list of all Canon specialty papers. Here is a link to the manual:

Thanks for using Fixya.

Can the Canon MX310 print on transparencies?

Manual does not mention Transparencies.
Manual states that It will print T-shirt transfers:

T-Shirt Transfers TR-301
This paper is used to create iron-on transfers. The image is printed inverted.
Paper Support Load Limit: 1 sheet
Paper Output Tray Load Limit:
We recommend that you remove the previously printed sheet from the Paper Output Tray before continuously printing to avoid blurs and discoloration.
Paper Thickness Lever: Right
Media Type:
Printer Driver Setting: T-Shirt Transfers

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Canon ip 4300

Google "canon ip4300". The canon.com entry near the top has a support tab. and enter "paper skew", you'll get a roller cleaning procedure.
As a matter of fact, it didn't solve my problem. The alternative, of having the machine repaired, is, of course, silly vs. buying a new machine. But in the meantime, the lower paper feed still works, albeit slightly less convenient.
