*** NOTE*** does machine have an ADF (auto document feeder)? Are you feeding the paper through the ADF to make copy? IF machine has ADF and you get the lines from that, place original on the glass and make copy. Does the copy have the lines? If so continue. If not lines then clean the '**** glass' ( thin small glass that the original is pulled over in the copy/scan process. This is under the ADF.

Next, if problem not rectived, it depends on how the paper is fed ( comes out of the machine). Let us say that the paper cover out of the machine 'letter' or ' portrait' and you look at the copy --- the lines are from left to right on the copy, okay. These lines could be from the fuser ( the hot area), pull the fuser out and look at the fuser rollers. Do the fuser rollers have lines -- if so then the rollers need to be replaced. If not then you are looking at the drum / transfer unit. Probably a blade is bad and will need replaced. To tell whether it is drum or transfer -- start to make a copy and open the front cover as to stop the paper in mid-stream. This way you can tell which unit has the problem.
NOW -- lets us say that the paper is coming out 'letter' again but the lines are from Top to Bottom. You will also want to look at the drum and/ or transfer units. This would but a 'stall' or 'blade skip' problem. Again, start to make a copy and open cover in mid-stream to see which unit has the problem.

If the drum unit is the problem, replace blade and maybe drum. IF the transfer unit is bad, replace transfer blade, roller and maybe the transfer belt ( if belt is present). Some transfer units use belts and other rollers.

SF-7370 multiple black streaks on copies even when set to lighest setting.

Sounds like the drum cleaning blade is failling. If you open the machine and the drum is dirty, then it is the blade.

My copier is a Sharp SF Model 2215. I replaced

It is the drum.
Reasonable cost? That's up to you.
Call a few service depots and ask. Then decide if you want to invest the cash.

Big streaks on copies from Sharp SF-7800 copier, not fax machine.

You probably have some build up on the glass, which happens if you use the auto feeder most often. Alcohol type cleaner will remove with a very softcloth. One small dot will look like a long streak on a feeder, much like a streaked fax. The other issue is the photoreceptor belt has nicks or is dirty eaither way it needs to be replaced. Try the cleaning first and you may have to look hard for the small dots built up on the glass.

LONG WHITE VERTICAL LINES

It sounds like the drum may need to be replaced. The streaks may be caused by sections of the drum no longer being able to hold a charge and therefore, toner will not properly stick to the paper in those sections and you'll be left with long white streaks on the paper. This is a usual symptom of a bad drum.
