Can I save my outdoor spa if the water went down to 33 degrees

in emergency's I have before used a large tarp that was loosely draped over the tub with a large kerosene fired heater directed inside it , to thaw a frozen tubs hoses and such , but it was only to thaw the tub out so it could drain out of water till better weather for the final repair , this method will save the tubs pipes and finish from ice damage , but it wont repair any damage that's already been done ,or reason it froze in the first place

I have a 99 oldsmobile alero 2.4 engine. it froze up. i drained it after it thawed and filled w antifreeze and water. now its overheating and heater is blowing cold air. what could be wrong?

check the oil and see if there is water/antifreeze in there, the oil will be milky, if it is you will need to rebuild the motor or else get another depending on what froze up. Also, something else may still be frozen up, park the car inside a heated garage and let it warm up for a few hours and then try run it again, there may be ice blocking the coolant from getting to the motor from the radiator.

Magic chef freezer model mcuf88w won't freeze

When you thawed it, did you remove ice from it using a metal object. That may have damaged the coils when would allow freon to leak out. This is too coincidental to be a problem itself with the compressor. The t'stat might be the problem. Try turning it off at the t'stat for a few minutes, then turn back on to the normal setting. Keep door closed for 30 minutes and check the inside and see if the walls are freezing. If not, you may have a compressor problem, or t'stat, or relay switch problem.

Icemaker not working

Its probably the water tray not filling. On the back of the freezer, there should be a hose that goes into the ice maker - remove the screw that holds the tubing in place, and gently pull out the hose. Let it sit for about an hour - chances are, you stopped using a lot of ice, and the water in the fill line to the ice maker froze. Once that's thawed, water should be able to flow again.

While you're behind the refrigerator, there may be an envelope with instructions for the ice maker - specifically, how to start the cycle. After the water line has thawed, you will want to start a cycle and verify the water is flowing. You should be able to hear it flowing.

Have ice build up on line leading into outside unit and ice buidup on inside units on my goodman air conditioner

Turn the system off on the thermostat and set the fan to "ON", this will thaw the ice faster if it hasn't already. When the system has completely thawed, which could take hours sometimes, depending on how bad it's frozen, then turn system back to "Cool" and start these checks>

1. Make sure filters are clean!
2. Make sure there is proper airflow through vents.
3. Make sure outside condenser fan motor is running.

If you have either no or minimal airflow, check the indoor blower to make sure it's working, if it is, the evaporator coil is dirty restricting the airflow. Be sure the system is thawed because the ice will also block the airflow!

If the condenser fan motor is not running, either the capacitor or the fan motor will need to be replaced.

If your filters are clean, you have good airflow through the house, and everything comes on like it should, it will most likely be the charge of refrigerant in the system is too low and you have a leak somewhere. If you have to have it charged, be sure the system is thawed before the technician gets there, he will not be able to do anything while it's froze.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Outside heat pump froze up, turned it off to thaw,, now what happens

Clean the coils inside and out side coils first, check on closed ducts, blocked return air, thermostat set below 72 degrees all these things and of course low charge could cause it to ice up.
If the compressor is iced check on the above and correct, clean coils are a must, they may look clean but they usually are not, most people use cheap air filters and the fins dust and dirt goes right thru them and starts loading up the coil. Good luck

Had ac on over night and it iced up on the inside behind the air filter out side temp. 75 inside temp 72 usually don't leave on over night and temp was 85 when we turned on

You might check the return air filters and see if they are dirty, also make sure the blower is working and your getting the normal air out of the vents. If that checks out, you will probably need to charge the system because it's low. If you call a technician out, make sure you turn the a/c off and turn the fan to the on position at the thermostat so to be sure your system is not froze up at all, otherwise the technician cannot do anything until it thaws. Two other things to check would be the vents after you know for sure it's not froze, this will tell you if your coil is clogged/dirty, and make sure the outside condenser fan motor is working too! Hope this helps and good luck.

Hot tub froze up, tried resetting breaker , no response. want to take pond heater to thaw and try again. obviously not getting power, any suggestion on things i can do myself?

Open the access panel under the unit where the pump is located. Place a small electric heater in the cavity up off the floor and not pointed toward anything close so it won't melt. put it on a low setting and close up the access panel.
Leave power to the hot tub disconnected.
Check after an hour but unplug heater befor you open access panel again in case water may be leaking somewhere. More than likely you will probably find that you have some leaks when it thaws out.

Once it thaws out you'll probably have to replace the heater or the pump. one or the other failed unless it was due to a power failure.

Ice maker has stopped making ice. did this before, cost over $200 to fix last time. shaft that kicks ice out froze up and wouldn't release ice.

If the cubes keep sticking, they are probably too small which is caused by too little water presure to the frig. You need 30 pounds PSI to frig so make sure there is no RO system connected to it. Thaw the ice and start again.

Wall ac unit keeps freezing up inside.

Do not run it on maximum cool and fan on low. Freezes up all the time this way.
