My router password is lost. I want to access it now.

All routers have a reset button on them that will allow you to reset the unit back to the original configuration it had when it was first turned on. This will reset the password on the router back to the original factory default that will be listed in your manual. This means that any changes you have made to your router will be wiped out. Your router will then reboot itself and come back up with all of the original settings intact. You will then have to make any changes that are necessary to make the router function in the correct way for your network. All routers have menu items that allow you to back up the configuration file from the router to a place on your computer. That way if you ever need to reset your router back to the factory settings you can then just reload the configuration file to set it back to your configuration settings.

If you have any problems in resetting your router back to factory status please repost back to us with the router brand name and model number and we can give you further assistance.

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you in resolving your issue. Should you need further information or assistance please do not hesitate to let us know.

Lost password need to reset router and put in new password

Hold the reset for 20 seconds then release it. Unplug it and hold the reset for another 20 seconds, without letting go of the reset plug the power back in, continue holding the reset for another 20 second. Release the reset and let the router sit for 2 mins. then set it up again. !!!***Warning***!!! This will set the unit to factory settings, it will retain none of you original setting so make sure you back those up as well.

I need to rest my router

YOU CAN RESET THE ROUTER TO FACTORY SETTINGS
You may reset router to factory setting from the reset button on the back side of the router. Use a paper pin to press the button for few seconds, the lights on the front would blink and the router would restart with factory setting. Please not that ALL SETTING WOULD BE LOST...AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO MAKE CONFIGURATIONS AND SETTING ALL OVER AGAIN

HOPE IT HELPS...Let me know if you need any further assistance

F5D7234-4 unable to connect to internet with router and forgot passwords

Hello, If you are locked out of the router you will need to reset it. There will be a small button (usually at the back) with reset wrote beside it. You will probably need a paper clip or something to push it.

<><><>

Next to the power supply connection is a pinhole Reset button. Disconnect all cords from your router except the power cord. Press Reset button with a pin for 10 seconds. Wait 10 more seconds then unplug router. If it is then reset to the original factory settings you will have to reinstall it using software that came with router. You may have to reinstall your network card software as well.

<><><>

Some, but not all, routers have a reset button. Different routers require different steps to perform resetting. On many of them, to restore your own "personal setup" that was created when you first installed the router - not the original factory settings - you just have to disconnect the power supply and reconnect it after a minute or two. You will need to locate and read the manual if you cannot get to Belkin's support site online.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks.

Forgotten userid and password for netgear router

At the back, or bottom of the unit there should be a small button,it is a round and quite small, you will need a pen or somthing with a small point to push it in, that should return all the setings to factory default. Therfore changing the the user settings to its original. The user name and passwor should be written on the bottom of the router.

You will have to reset the router itself. On the back of the router is a reset button, it will return the router to its factory original settings. You will have to reconfigure it according to your previous settings.

Lost access code to add more computers to system

You need to reset router to factory settings.
1.Unplug all LAN cables from the router.
•Unplug the router power cord connector from the back of the device. •Using a paper clip or something similar that will fit into the reset hole, press continue to hold the reset button, then carefully reinsert the power cord, making sure not to release the reset button in the process. •Continue to hold the reset button in for at least 15 seconds after inserting the power cord, then release it. After about 10-25 seconds the router will boot and it will be set back to the original factory default settings.

By default the password on the router is left blank, and the default IP address is 192.168.2.1

I forgot my password to belkin g

With power on, press and hold the reset button for about 30 seconds. This should reset the router to factory settings. You will need to use the manual for the original password to get in. If that does not work, unplug the router (turn router off) and hold reset button for 30 seconds.

Reset

You can reset your Netgear router/wireless wpn824 router to the factory settings from within the router manager. The reset procedure removes all user-configured settings and returns the router to the original factory settings.

For this reason, only reset the router if you encounter problems that can't be solved with other methods.

Step 1: Check that your Netgear router/wireless wpn824 router is properly connected with your system or not. If it is OK, then press reset button on Netgear router for at least 10 seconds. The 'test' light should flash during this process.

Step 2: Now open browser and enter Netgear's IP address into the address bar. Generally, '192.168.0.1' is the Netgear router IP address but you can find specific IP address in Netgear wpn824 router manual.

Step 3: Now enter your default username and password to log in to router.

Step 4: Click 'Erase' button under the 'Revert to Factory Default Settings'. This process will erase all your previous changes that have been made to the router and restore the configuration settings to factory setting. Don't interrupt the process until the process is finished.

Once the router's 'test' light has stopped blinking and the configuration page you are on has refreshed, the wpn824 router has been reset.
