Question about Washing Machines
Hi I have just moved and once the machine has been plumbed back in, it will not now perform the spin cycle or pump out. I have checked the hose and pump filter for any blockages, but there seem to be none. The drain hose outlet is the required distance above the pump and the hose is not bent or twisted. I noticed a loose red wire that looks like it could be coming from the pump - could this be the problem - perhaps it came loose during the move? If so, where does it attach to? All help much appreciated. Clare

remove the hose from the outlet and lay it as flat as poss into a bowl. fill the machine up and see how much water starts to run out. if there is a lot then there may be a blocked outlet instead. the way to attempt to clear a waste hose out without removing it is to buy a flexi unblocker (like a bendywound wire) from a handyman shop and ram it up the hose. tone.

move the kicking plate on the front-bottom of the machine. You will see o circular lid there, turn it on anti-clockvise to open. All of the water blocked will come from there, be careful. Look carefully that there are some objects blocking the water draining. Then turn on the machine on draining programme, the plastic rotor should turn fastly when the machine is on. If it is not running, change the pump motor. If it is running, but machine is not draining again you can understand that there is an objeck stuck on the hose between drum and pump motor. Lay down the machine on its rear facade, you will see a large and black hose between drum and pump motor. When you remove it, you will see that there is something that blocks water running.

The 03 error code is the drain. Disconnect the drain hoses
and check for blockages. If no blockage "time" the drain interval. If
it's more than 6 minutes it's the pump. Also make sure you're using the correct
type of soap so the ball check valve on the bottom of the outer drum isn't
getting fouled with excessive suds. Also disconnect the drain hose from your
house plumbing and let it free flow on it's own. This will tell you if the
blockage is in your plumbing and not in the machine.
