I have a totally unrelated solution. Remove your lint filter. Now remove the waffled plastic that covers the lint filter slot. Hint, its inside the dryer, and there's two screws holding it in. Be careful, because there's two wires connected to the metal strip on the bottom edge of it. That metal strip is either the temperature or moisture sensor, I bet. Don't drop the screws into the lint filter slot. If yours is like mine, you'll find that a lot of lint has built up around the contacts for those two wires. Carefully clean all the lint, and reinstall. While you have it opened up, stick your vacuum's crevice tool down inside the lint filter slot and clean up all the lint in there as best you can. Problem solved. I think the build of of lint was shorting the two contacts, and this was screwing up the electronics.

this is a fault code that means there is a stuck key on the board you may have to remove the control panel and check the keys if this does not work you may have to replace the panel or control board

Hey friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
I understand that you are getting an E68 error code on your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, it usually stands for a key (button) that is stuck closed (active). Let's try entering a "Function Test Mode" and perform the Key Test to determine which button could be the problem. To perform "Function Test Mode": Press and hold START and the CANCEL button at the same time for 10 seconds. The key that is stuck should blink. Free the key and perform the test again. If the button is free but the error code still exists, the electronic control will more than likely need to be replaced after it has been properly diagnosed by a professional. If you need help in contacting a technician you can view the manufacturer website to find available technicians in your area. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

Hello Kenneth Joynt - Often when a dryer will not stop running, it is because the unit may have a potential wiring failure, faulty timer, or a communication error with the main control board. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household breaker to the off position. Wait approximately two minutes, turn on the dryer and select a normal cycle. If issue persists, I would suggest contacting an experienced service technician to determine the precise cause.
