The first thing that comes to mind is to verfiy that you have not set the printer to only print in black or grayscale.
Check your printer settings by following these steps.
In the software program you are trying to print from, click File and then click Print . The Print dialog box opens.
Make sure that your All-in-One is selected and then click Preferences . The Preferences dialog box opens.
Click the Paper/Quality tab.
Options on the Features tab include:
Print quality : If you are unhappy with the quality of your printouts, try increasing the print quality. To print more quickly, try decreasing the print quality.
Paper Options - Type is : Click the drop-down box under Type is . If one of the options matches your paper type exactly, click it rather than Automatic .
Paper Options - Size is : Make sure that it matches your paper.
Verify that this option is NOT selected ===> Print All Text as Black : Prints all text characters as black, regardless of the document color settings for text.
Let me know if this resolves your issue.
Thanks for using FixYa!
Try the Print Nozzle check pattern. This will check whether ther is any defect with the printer or not.
Turn off the printer.
Press and hold the power button until you hear a beep.
This will print the Check pattern.
Open the top cover and visually check the level of ink in the tanks.
If the ink is not empty the clean the printer heads.
Try the check pattern and clean the printer head for about 3 times.
If this does not help then try print head deep cleaning.
This will be available in the print option in windows.
If this does not help then it isn advisable to change the BJ cartridge.
If the printer is printing blank pages, make sure you are using the correct printer driver and make sure the paper size is correctly selected in the driver. If the printer is printing black only, the Ink option in the printer driver may be set to Black instead of Color or a setting in the software may be set to print black only. Also, the print head nozzles may be clogged. Perform a head cleaning If there are still gaps in the dot pattern, continue with another cycle. Perform up to 6 cycles if necessary.
