Question about McCulloch 16 In 4.5 Hp Electric Chainsaw With Carrying Case MCC4516FK
I have a stihl 0340AV super chainsaw that won't fire-- It has plenty of spark, but just won't fire. Could you please tell me what to do to correct this.
DID YOU REMOVE THE PLUG AND CHECK THE SPARK AT THE GAP? IF YOU HAVE FIRE THERE THEN THE PROBLEM MUST BE A FUEL PROBLEM. ARE YOU USING A FRESH GAS MIXTURE? YOU CAN PUT A FEW DROPS OF MIXED GAS IN CYLINDER THEN RE-INSTALL PLUG TO SEE IF IT FIRES, IF IT DOES THEN YOUR NOT GETTING GAS FROM THE CARB.POSSIBLE STUCK DIAPHRAGM. GOOD LUCK!!!

Another possibility is the flywheel key has sheared--pull flywheel and check. Is the nut loose? That would allow the key to shear. If the spark timing is off, it sure won't run. The nut should be torqued when tightened.
