Huffing after letting off gas / '08 Super Duty F350

CV or U joint on the shaft is bad.

siphon gas out drop the tank undo the harness twist the retaining ring pull pump. install in reverse.

probably be easier to just pull the truck bed off. usually requires unbolting 4-8 bolts holding bed on from inside the floor of bed. unhooking wiring harnwess and unhooking gas tank filler neck from hose leading to tank. you will need help of at least 3 others to pull the bed unless you devise a lift or a stand for your bed to sit on. think of it like a semi truck unhooking from a trailer. bed stays put truck moves forward. replace pump and back up under the bed and reattach. good luck

**** fuel hope it was diesel and not GAS......pulliong tank or syphoning if you did.

fit a new pipe ,not wrap it in gaffa tape

It is the fuel heater, All you have to do is unplug it.

Is this a gas motor or a diesel? Either way, there are a few things to check. If this doesn't help, reply or repost with more specifics. Either type of engine will do that if there is water in the fuel. Was it damp/rainy recently nad the tank less than half full? Did you just get fuel? Even if not, drygas or diesel fuel conditioner won't hurt. If it's a gas motor and you just got fuel, is it possible that diesel got put in the tank? I've seen it several times (once because a valve failed at the gas station) I figured it out by taking a gas sample and smelling it. If you let the sample sit for a while, the gas starts to evaporate and the diesel smell becomes more prominent.

if it's a diesiel the it's coming from your oil line to your turbo. if it is gas then it could be a leak coming from a leaking valve cover gasket.

Many possibilities:
Is it a Diesel?
Camshaft position sensor recall may cover it.
Gas or Diesel:
Fuel Pump and/or relay.
Fuel Filter.

Engine codes could help if Check Engine Light is on.
