SOURCE: i tighten the screws behind the belt but it still slips as i walk

Sounds like the motor drive belt is slipping, remove the motor cover,be careful some models have hidden screws in recessed areas underneath if you remove the correct ones the hood comes off easily. There is a bracket that has a bolt to adjust the motor belt tension. Also if you tightened the walk belt up it may be too tight which could cause it to wear or tear easier, the rule of thumb is tighten the walk belt just tight enough so it doesn't slip.

SOURCE: my weslo cadence 200 treadmill belt keeps slipping

please look under the bottom of the treadmill and be sure that your alignment brackets are not benmt/missing. (put the machine in the storage position and look about 2/3 way down the side of the belt) you should see a metal bracket on each side pressing in on the belt. They should be pressing in about 1 1/2 -2 inches to help track the belt.

SOURCE: We have a Proform Sport 1000 treadmill which when

There is a belt between the front roller and the motor (drive belt) that is under the motor hood. The trick is to watch the front roller when you get on the walking belt. If the front roller stops with the walking belt, then the drive belt is loose and needs to be replaced or tightened. If you have already adjusted the walking belt, and you can hear the motor, it's the drive belt. There will be 3 screw on the front of the machine, and a couple of screws under the main frame. Tip the unit over to find the screws, and take off the cover. You'll be able to see where the slip is.

Belt starting slipping, adjusted according to User's manual...belt still slips.

hi,
Here is the steps to adjust the treadmill belt,
(1). Turn off the treadmill and remove the plug from the wall outlet to make sure it doesn't turn on during the readjustment process.

(2).Tighten the roller bolts on the rear of the treadmill belt with an Allen wrench. Tighten both the right and left bolts with 1/4 turns.

(3).Avoid tightening the bolts more than 1/4 of a turn at a time. If the belt is tightened too much, it may cause damage to the belt, which would require a replacement.

(4).Plug the treadmill into the wall and press "Power."

(5). Select a program and begin walking. If the treadmill is still slipping, turn off the treadmill, unplug it and tighten the bolt a 1/4 turn again until it is properly adjusted.

watch the following video which will help you to do the same. All brand hve the same procedure for tighten the walking belt.

If then also the belt is slipping then you have to replace the running belt with a new one.

When i am walking on the band it seems as if i am slipping

This could be 1 of 3 things. Either the walking belt need to be tightened, or the rubber motor belt is slipping (under the front hood) or the pulley has come loose from the roller.
First tighten the walking belt using the allen key provided when you purchased the machine. Locate the 2 adjustment bolts at the back of the machine and tighten (clockwise) both bolts 1 turn. Retry the machine. If there is no noticeable difference, remove the hood and see if the rubber belt is slipping. If so tighten the belt by adjusting the motor.

Treadmill belt keeps slidding to the side

Here are two solutions one is to get the belt centered on the treadmill and the other is to tighten the belt.

There should be two bolts in the rear of the treadmill, one on each side. These bolts adjust the rear roller of the treadmill. The walking belt will always go to the side that is looser. To get the belt back on track, (if you can start the treadmill so the belt is running) tighten the bolt on the side that the belt has slipped to. Tighten the bolt a little bit at a time. If you tighten the bolt too much, then the belt will go to the other side.

To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns.

Everything seems to work fine except a small slip in the track about every 30 seconds or so. Is there something that needs to be tightened?

The walking belt may be too loose. If you have made recent adjustments, lubricated, or had repairs, a belt can slip if not tightened. The belt can slip if you have too much friction or if the belt has been recently lubricated. If lube does not help your problem and you have exhausted all other possibilities, the walking belt is most likely worn out and must be replaced.
To adjust the belt: Less Belt Tension: turn both adjustment bolts on back of treadmill in a counter-clockwise direction. More Belt Tension: Turn both adjustment bolts equally in a clockwise direction. Center Adjustment (moves belt center to the left): Turn left-side adjustment bolt counter-clockwise. Center Adjustment (moves belt center to the right): Turn the left-side adjustment bolt clockwise.
An over tightened walking belt can raise the amp draw of your treadmill, contribute to seam separation on the walking belt, or both, so do not over tighten the walking belt.
You should be able to lift the belt in the center on the side by approximately 2” to 3”, if you cannot lift it by 2” to 3”, the belt is too tight.
