Although I can't find anything in the manual, you should look very carefully to the front of the lens, where the lens cap is normally placed. Perhaps there is a little switch, that won't come lose. Use your own nail, to feel. Take care not to touch the lens.
Feel if on top or bottom of the thread is anything moving.
If something changes, try to find out what blocked the switch in that position, and please let us know.
Press cursor-down (marked with a one-handed clock) to bring up the self-timer menu, use cursor-left/right to select the desired delay, then press the MENU/OK button. Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button as usual.
