A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

What might have caused Windows to change your display settings? what are your next stpes?

Display settings may change for a number of reasons, but the first thing I look for is a failed driver or a change in user accounts. If your user account has gone bad you will be switched to a temporary account and your user display will revert to the defaults. The other reason is that the drivers failed. Look in the device manager and see if the display driver is the wrong one or not working...the wrong one will generally be a "vga" one without reference to a brand. If it's generic or bad, reinstall the drivers from the manufacturer.

My hp pavilion g7 series laptop is messing up? it says my ati display driver keeps messing up.

1.Start the laptop up in safe mode with networking by pressing the f8 button while switching it on at the power switch.
2 Once in safe mode remove the ati drivers.
3. Download Eusing free registry cleaner install it and clean your registry.
4. Download new drivers from Ati and install them.
hopefully this should do the trick. if the problem still exist then it could be a sign that your graphic chip is failing,.

I have a gateway fx p-6860 with an nvidia 8800M GTS. I just recently went to nvidia to try and update my card because my Display kept going out or going solid color and locking my comp up. After doing so...

Sounds like the card is failing. Suggest your replace it or borrow one from someone just to see if it is the card. Does not sound like a driver issue. Check that the fan is not clogged with dust or noisy. this would cause the card to overheat and the result is what you are getting.

My color on my lap top went to purple you could still see every thing its just primarily purple. How can I fix this?

power on laptop keep tapping F8 then select last known good configuration. if fails then boot in safe mode then uninstall then reinstall video driver. if fails then connect laptop to an external monitor check if the display is purple from the ext monitor then if yes this might replace motherboard if not then LCD is the problem.

Failed to find a suitable display device when play'n wow

remove and reinstall device drivers and direct-x drivers. if it still fails, contact blizzard and get default settings reset and redo your video setup. If that also fails, your display will need to be upgraded with another video card.

Need a solution for failure of the ialmrnt5 display driver

Hello, I've Previously had this problem while using both the onboard and an extra pci videocard. The easiest way for me to fix it was usually going to the hardware manager, removing all drivers for all video devices, turning off the computer. Then when it is back on, do not let it reinstall the drivers, instead make sure your intel chipset has the newest drivers, if it does, then make sure the intel video card drivers are installed and working properly, then move onto the pci videocards drivers.

In this order, CHIPSET, ONBOARD VIDEO, ADDON VIDEO CARD (Is you use one). Reboot between each one to ensure the settings save.

Another strange problem i have every now and then, is that when i use an image (VERY LARGE IMAGE) as my desktop, the settings for the onboard intel "forget" themselfs, They just, stop, and the card always starts in 8bit mode with the lowest screen size. Changing the background image for my login page(NOT WELCOME SCREEN, ONLY LOGIN PAGE BACKGROUND) it continued to remember settings.

Other than this, the intel driver uses a dom+ service on the windows machine to read/write settings, if you have disabled dom+ or any of its dependencies, you may not be able to use the intel driver set.

Display Backlight failure - Philips MC235

Most likely there is a bad connection either at the display itself or in the power supply. If you are comfortable working with this equipment and can solder, try resoldering the pins for the display itself first.

Keep us posted.
