Power problem, CDJ wont turn on propperly as it is from the US and i live in Birmingham UK

I bought a pair of CDJ 800 mk2's from the US and i live in the UK, i blew both fuses stupidly plugging them in over here with only an adapter, ive replaced the fuses but am i going to be ok to run them on a standard step down converter or can this damage them? Is there any other way of using these american cdj's in the UK? Thankss

The step down adapter should work fine as long it supplies the voltage and any other ratings shown on the turntable power supply indication pannel. However the problem might already have happened. If the fuses were before the power entered the mains transformer of the unit, then if they were set to blow above the USA voltage then things could be OK. However if the the fuses were in the secondary output from the transformer then the mains will have caused possible damage to the transformer. Maybe even elsewhere.

if you're lucky, which i think you ain't , it's a fuse, but i think your transformer is dead. And pioneer is annoying expensive when it comes to parts, my monitor abs front was more expensive then the whole unit:), amazing. Just scratch monitors, recapped with better stuf and removed the soft inside and but stiffer absorber stuf in it, which gives it a tighter bass, but those prices amazed me. That why i won't buy a thing from pioneer, even if the new turntable will be grate, which it ain't. But the mixer and given partquality are shamefully gr richard

SOURCE: cdj 800 keeps skipping

Does it keep skipping, or does it keep looping? 2 very different things. If it's skipping, it will sound like it's scratched, and will only skip on some CDs, and not others - unless your tray is messed up.

SOURCE: CDJ 800 Has no power

this guy don't know what he is talking about, the cdj800 does have a fuse,if you open the unit up just make sure it's unpluged,if the fuse is blown replace it with one of the same rating,it's right next to the switch inside the unit,it's very easy to take apart just 5 screws,I have one that won't power on also but it's not the fuse, but yours could be,just check it out and don't be afraid just be careful when handling electronics so that you don't send static charges into the chips.

SOURCE: CDJ 800 mk2. Will play audio cd fine but won't play mp3's

There is no easy fix for this. You will more than likely have to have the CD traverse assembly replaced - you could try a professional cleaning and alignment first - but ultimately, you will have to replace the cd assembly.

SOURCE: replacing cdj cue buttons

Not hard at all. Just have to open her up. I would suggest purchasing the service manual, which has instructions on doing this and useful for other repairs, as well as parts list, and parts diagrams.

SOURCE: Pioneer cdj 800 mk2 playing mp3s, jogwheel & screen dont work

More than likely the contact pad (aka Membrane pad) is probably damaged... or the flat cable which connects to the main processor, might be loose, or damaged.

You'll need to get this professionally checked out by a qualified technician. It's not an easy fix.

Hello i need some help,i have pioneer 800 mk2 cdj i buy from usa but im live in london so difirent pawer supply here i bought the converter but try connect and its not showing nothing maybe the problem...

You can have a fuse problem only in you plug it diectly to 240V, the UK voltage. Check that the converter is a step down transformer, 240 to 110 volts. The system should work with 110Volts. If everything is ok, then you blew the system´s powersupply with the 240Volts. that is difficult to solve.
