SOURCE: I have a old Artec

Hi ,
Try from here :http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=123132
If you are under W7 , there is no more driver available and the only way to get your device running would be to install a virtual version of W XP on your HDD , if you don't want to buy a new scanner .
Regards .

I have a Coolscan IV with the coolscan 3 Software, and i have a mac book pro. The following message appears: Error "Could not send look up tables to scanner.", Please help me

Try upgrading to v4.02 driver. You may need to download 4.0 first as 4.02 may only upgrade from 4.0. The scanner runs with v4.02 on my Mackbook pro but I can only scan using the slide adapter and the film holder at present. The film adapter will not work but i'm not sure if this is a hardware or software problem.

I WANT TO KNOW THE MEAN OF ''ERROR 06'' IN HP SCANJET 8270 AND THE POSIBLE SOLUTIONS... THANKS

If LCD displays Error 06 or Error 09 , the TMA might require service
Press SCAN PICTUREc00068011.jpg button once (see Figure 3 above). The TMA lamp should turn on (see Figure 4 above). If pressed a second time, the TMA lamp turns off (if TMA is detected). NOTE: The scanner carriage lamp should be off when the TMA lamp is on and should be on when the TMA lamp is off. The only time the TMA could not be detected is if the accessory cable is not plugged into scanner

I am looking for instructions on this product.

Step 1: Open the scanner lid and remove the Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA).
Step 2: Place your slides or negatives into the appropriate template. Follow the orientation indicated by the icons on the template.
Step 3: Tip: If you are scanning fewer than the maximum number of negatives with the TMA, cover the empty spaces with the provided light shields to avoid letting any extra light in
Step 4: Place the template on the scanner glass, aligning the arrow on the template with the indicated mark on the scanner bed.
Step 5: Close the scanner lid and press the Scan Film button (or select the Scan Film option if you're using the HP Solution Center application on your PC).
Step 6: In the Scanning from dialog box, click Change Settings.
Step 7: Under Scan Shortcut Settings, select your Scan Type (either Negatives (TMA) or Slides or Positives (TMA)).
Step 8: Under Scan To select Save to file. Then click Scan.
Step 9: Under the Save Location dialog box, click Browse and enter the destination folder of your choice. Click OK and follow any on-screen instructions to finish scanning. The scan will be sent to the destination folder you selected. s.gif s.gif

Where do i put the negative to scan on hp g3010 scanner

On the lid there are thin plastic rails that frame two 35mm Negatives. Place the film in that holder, framing what you wish.

Check HP's site for the owners manual for advanced settings for your specific model to get the best results from your Negative or as HP calls it Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA)

Let us know
Good luck

How do I make photos from slides

Scanning slides is a tricky thing, because the light comes from the wrong side. What you would need is a flatbed TMA (Transparent Media Adapter, sometimes called a film adapter).
This is basically a lamp in the lid (or a replacement lid) of a scanner, to allow it to scan film. The film is placed on the scanner glass bed, but instead of being illuminated by reflected light from below like a print, this lamp shines down through, from behind the film. Then everything else pretty much works the same, we scan film using the same basics as for prints.(source)

You can give it a shot at a high resolution (1200dpi+) and see if that gets acceptable results.

I personally was never satisfied with my scanner, so I just went to a photo shop and let them do it for me.
