Belt sander wont work. Only 4 hours on the sander.

Get immediatly garantee where you bought it from , but only IF you have tried it on a other powerconnector if you are shure you have no problem for example by power from a cable real with an build in protection circuit breaker button between the connectors , it could be that a contact on the stator electric field is loose or powercable too the switch but garantee is the right place before opening it in any case but you have not connect it to a power generator by somebody that you cannot trust that its after use sometimes was adjusted for the right power because its oft the problem by wrong adjustments by using a generator for power else then your armature can be damaged without a burned colour if there was a power failure too high a voltage that you will see absolutely nothing wrong on your armature but its intermittent on some of the collectors measure between the 2 brushes on ohm with sound by measuring with multimeter ? this is a small suggestion of what can happens with powertools on dubious places .

The new skilsaw 3315 just stoped working.

If you have such problem look first if there is something wrong at the powerconnector or cable reel.

IF not go immediately for garantee.

Cpu on but no video no beeps

There is likely a hardware-error.
1) Did you connect all powerconnectors correctly to the motherboard ?
2) Same question for attached internal hardware ?
3) Memory modules inserted correctly ?

If all OK, it's seems you PC is correctly booting and running succesfully an operting system like Windows.
Now, the error might occur something between monitor and PC.

4) Did you recently change the screensettings under Windows ?
If your monitor can run max. 1024x768-mode, but you accidentally fiddled with Windows-settings, to set it into 1200x900-mode, your monitor will turn black, not showing anything of Windows. In panic you might have turned of your computer. To solve this, it's best to push the F5-key when booting in Windows safe-mode. Here you can restore the older screen-setting.

5) No damage at pins of connectors between monitor and PC ?
6) Cable between monitor and PC connected correctly ?

If all OK :
7) Does monitor power on ?
Yes. Shortly but turns off within seconds (for TFT-monitors)
- Something at inverter-level is damaged. This is inside the monitor.
No. monitorLED is not even turning on
- Monitor has an internal defect

Check powerconnector.
If it is connected, either there's not enough power, or the printcircuit of the disk might be defective.

Asus x50gl - just replaced the backlight bulb because the old one was worn outn and after i assembled it it worked fine...... after i finished placing all the screws and the lid the laptop would not power...

remove the bottomcasecover, disconnect the lvds (lcd-cabel), located next to the power-connector. Plug in adapter and try to start it up. Eventhough you can't see any burned components, it can be a short circuit after your replacement. You can also try to reseat the powerconnector, cpu and rammodules at the same time, since you have removed the bottomcasecover.

My emachine desktop tower will not power on

the sound you are hearing or heard could have been power surging through a powersupply unit that just blew.. hopfully it did not effect any of the other trouble shoot this you can do one of two things..1 disconnect the 20/24 pin powerconnector from the motherboard 2 disconnect the cpu power connector 3 disconnect the 6pin power connector from the graphics card if there is one some machines have onboard video chipsets if thats the case then no worries 4 disconnect the Harddrive power 5 jump the power supply to see if you get any power from it any questions on that go to youtube and type in how to jump a power supply... or option 2 is buy a new power supply make sure its 80plus certified and replace it...i know its a lot of work but i hope this has helped you

No power on WDelements WD5000

It's not a new hard drive casing that you need, rr_atl, it's a replacement power supply. Western Digital is well know for selling very poorly manufactured power supplies with this hard drive series. The problem you described is a bad power brick.

Fualt on DS

By putting the case together you've short circuit the black wire with the powerconnector. Open the bottom case and check the wire. Check Fuses F1 and F2. 99,9% change that one of them is blown out. Replacements can be found on the Internet

Is it a PATA (big connector) or SATA (small connector) drive ?

Try changing your drive-cable and check the Master/Slave setting on the back of the HD. (Only applies to PATA)

Check the powerconnector also to see if this might be faulty.

And btw your "Caps-Lock"-key is stuck ..... :-P
