Question about Samsung SGH-D900 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

I got a new Samsung Tocco and am trying to put the sim card in from my old phone as I am wanting to keep the same number. My network is o2. When I put my old sim in my new phone it is asking for a password which I do not know as it is obviously must have original settings on the Samsung Tocco. Could you assist me further please?

Its the password to unlock the phone from the network that you bought it from! (probably vodafone) if you ring that network and tell them you are dissatisfied with their service they should honour you the password which will allow you to put the 02 sim in and use it! hope this helps!

How can i unlock my samsung tocco lite (S5230) to any network for free please ?

With working sim in phone, go to keypad and enter *2767*3855# and wait, this will fully reset phone so ensure you back up anything on it first, during repowering up remove battery and insert sim from other network then turn back on, phone should now be sim lock free. As always this is at your own risk. This will likely work with other Samsung phones

Limited Service ???

Hi
what has happened is that the original owner has reported it to O2 and they have applied an IMEI bar to the handset that will be circulated to all uk networks. So unfortunately the phone is now useless! Dont bother spending money trying to unlock as you would be wasting your money once all the networks know. It probably worked for a while because the owner didnt report it straight away. Shame, not a bad phone!

Samsung d900i on o2 network

O2 won't help because they do not want to lose a customer. There are lot's of phone shops and market stalls that unlock phones between £5-£8 and you will be able to insert any sim you like then and won't be stuck to one provider. I get all my phones unlocked so I have the freedom of networks

I hope this helps
